... when a 1 year contract is up you can't transfer your phone number to the next contract. ...
Wait, wait... what?
Don't take offense to this, but I'm going to 100% doubt this... it just doesn't make sense.

I currently have a BB Preorder as well, but plan on buying at VZW. I want the insurance on this phone from VZW. I have had several phones replaced through them and could not be happier with the service. I've read some stuff on BB's insurance and it is less than desirable. So until VZW announces it, I'm keeping my preorder at BBI have my pre-order at best buy so right now I don't no which would be better to buy it from best buy or verizon?
i just went to VZW.com and selected iphone, new account, their are only two contract options month to month @ $749 and 2yr @ $299. that should be a pretty definitive answer.

Try another phone. VZW doesn't do 1-year's on iphones.

10-4 just did it. i still think it is a 100% possibility that they will eliminate 1yr. they are probably taking a hint from the iphone.
doesnt make sense? are you kidding? it doesnt make sense to you, it makes perfect sense for VZW. are you not seeing a trend here? they know they have the best network and are using it to THEIR advantage. they just took away NE2, how much sense did that make? none, unless your VZW!!!!!
It doesn't make sense because of this:
Keeping Your Telephone Number When You Change Your Service Provider
They cannot "keep your number" ... by law.
And it doesn't make sense for logical reasons. Why would they not want you to be able to keep in contact with people when renewing your contracts? I mean, it makes no sense for ANY reason. The NE2 stuff made sense financially. It saved them some money.
exactly how could anyone believe...
