If true, are you still interested in this phone at $830?

I can't justify spending that much money on a phone. I don't care if it's split into monthly payments at no interest, I just can't do it.

I was hoping for a price of $700. I'm still hoping this $830 price is wrong. At a lower price, LG would be winning over everyone unhappy with the Pixel pricing and anyone unhappy with a ticking time bomb.

If you're going to pass, like I will if this price proves to be true, what phone would you have eyes on? I think I'll have to decide between the Moto Z Play or OnePlus 3 or maybe the standard Moto Z, even though I hate the chin and how small its battery is. Nothing else out there has really caught my eye. I love LG phones, but not for that much.

The V20 would be a sales failure at $820. Seems no way IMO they will price that high.

I was considering this phone because I thought it would be sifnificantly cheaper than a Pixel XL or a Note7 (current Note5 user) but if it really is $830, than I will probably go with a Pixel since on a verizon payment plan it would only be a difference of like 5 bucks a month.

I'm okay with that price range.

There's nothing else in the market I'm even somewhat interested in so why not ahem ahem ??

If I was willing to pay $830, I'd probably just get a Pixel XL, too.

In V6Hawk thread he stated that the LG rep told him that the T-mobile version should be $650.

And just think, you need to purchase a spare battery to get through a day. So you are up to $900. Plus 7% tax (where I live), that will be $970.

Mind as well say you need $1000 for this phone.

It's only money

I'm withholding final judgement until I see a firm price, but it's looking like I may pass all together on a new phone, regardless of which one. Verizon just changed their $300 trade in promo to require you to keep the new device on the payment plan. The $300 is also now credited in monthly installments over the 2 years. If I pay off early (As I intend to do, if not buy outright), I lose any remainder of the promo credits.

I am not a fan of LG products, I just do not see them as high quality. I am not talking their smartphones, as I have never owned an LG smartphone. The only reason I was going to consider it was for the audio quality. I am not willing to spend that much for the V20. I would be giving up to much. No wireless charging, no Samsung Pay. These are things I use and like. I am not willing to pay $830 for a phone from LG.

Definitely passing on the V20. I went with the Axon 7 for less than half what AT&T wants for the V20 and got a heck of a phone. Is it lacking some things compared to the V20? Definitely, but the things lacking are things I can live without. Things that are different of note: 5.5" screen, Nougat out of the box, second screen and removable battery. I'll miss the removeable battery the most.

The v10 was around $700 on AT&T, $672 on Verizon and $599 on T-Mobile. I'm assuming the v20 will also be a good amount cheaper on T-Mobile, which works out well for me! So glad I left Verizon lol

Verizon's going to give you more freebies

Really not sure if I'll get the V20 if it comes in at more than $800. I really don't think LG will retail it for that much...in fact I would be shocked if they did. I think the phone will come in around the $600 - $700 range more likely.

I hope that's just AT&T pricing. They charged a higher price for the Note 7 as well.

That said, my personal advice is to wait if you can.

LG devices tend to fall like a rock in terms of pricing and value over a relatively short period of time, so you can snag one for close to the same price as a OP3 in a few months, sometimes with freebies.
