If true, are you still interested in this phone at $830?

I hope that's just AT&T pricing. They charged a higher price for the Note 7 as well.

That said, my personal advice is to wait if you can.

LG devices tend to fall like a rock in terms of pricing and value over a relatively short period of time, so you can snag one for close to the same price as a OP3 in a few months, sometimes with freebies.

Most phones usually do with new ones coming out every few months. This is exactly why I do Jump on Demand with T-Mobile.

They fall in external markets a lot faster than carriers. The G5, V10 and HTC at Verizon is still pretty much the same as when released and sometimes higher than released. You can get new resales on Swappa or eBay for almost nothing on lots of phones.

Verizon's going to give you more freebies

I don't know, I got my s7 edge bogo free with a gear vr and a $120 Netflix credit for each phone through T-Mobile. I don't know what Verizon gave for that phone, but it couldn't have been more than that was it?

If the V20 flies and has great battery life why wouldn't I spend as much on the V20 as the Pixel with its huge bezel, no ir blaster, no second screen, smaller screen etc.

And now we can begin to figure out why LG delayed the release of the V20.

There's a rule in business negotations: never be the first one to talk. Google talked first. Now watch the V20 be an amazingly low price.

Won't have great battery life

Smaller battery doesn't always equal worse battery life. The N7 battery isn't much bigger and the V20 battery can be easily replaced. It also takes sd card and doesn't have a huge silly bezel.

At&t is not pushing the $830, they are pushing the payments. Thirty months is $27.67. If the phone sold for $700, the payments would be $23.33. Most people would looking only $4. If it sold for $600, payments would be $20 for 30 months. That is less then $8 dollars, less then subscribing to Netflix. I think the phone is overpriced, but a lot of people focus only on the payment

Battery has already been tested by other websites and its poor compared to others in its class.

I pay full boat when I change phones. At $830 plus tax and no B&O Earbuds I'll stick with my 32gb Note 4 with 128gb MicroSD, with fast charge and aftermarket QI Back. And, oh, I'm on my third replaceable battery that lasts me an entire day of above average use.

So, No way. Perhaps if there is a price drop or Black Friday deal I'll revisit my decision. WTF are AT&T & LG thinking?

The bogo was with a 2year contract.. .I'm talking straight purchase.

T-Mobile doesn't have 2 year contracts. If anything it may require the device payment plan, but you could pay the whole phone off the next day if you wanted to and still get the rebate for the second phone.

The display and lack of water or dust resistance does not warrant the higher price. Even the Note 4 had some level of water resistance.

Let's hope so... if LG have that type of business intelligence then it could be win for customers and LG.

But, im not so sure... They announced it one day before iPhone, didn't capitalise on Samsung batterygate, and have let Pixel steal some of the hearts and minds of potential customers... This doesn't look like business intelligence to me... But im no business expert, just a humble potential customer waiting patiently to see which phone I should upgrade to next. I like what I see from V20, if there price is reasonable then I'm on board.

And just think, you need to purchase a spare battery to get through a day. So you are up to $900. Plus 7% tax (where I live), that will be $970.

Mind as well say you need $1000 for this phone.

Who says you need a spare battery to get through the day? I have not seen any reviews about battery life as all the reviews have been pre-production units.

I think I have read the same lines about the high price of this phone before..... Almost every new flagship phone (not including the Iphone).
We all balked at $500, $600, $700 & now $800
We'll pay up.

Lateck,

I honestly probably would have bought it -- if they announced it sooner. Instead the Pixel got that money.
