Finally, something we disagree on (lol). From a personal perspective, my eyesight doesn't allow me to perceive the difference between FHD and QHD. I concede that younger eyes may. BUT, for a phone, even if you CAN perceive this difference, I think the target consumer demographic is very small.I'll stick up for the 2K screen, infact I'm waiting on a 4K 6 inch.
This won't apply to everyone but I deal with massive photos (RAW) shot so I can get the most detailed look as possible of them before I give the ok. What I'm able to see on a 2K versus a simple FHD is the difference between a happy customer or a customer who had to wait for me to sit down infront of my Dell laptop which has 4K
To me, it would be like saying I would rather forgo outgoing call function to save on battery.
Spec race all the way (and catch up you darned batteries).
On the other hand, this would seem to be the perfect target for tablet consumers, and since 6 inches falls into the "phablet" category, perhaps there is a niche there. Having said that, my personal opinion, is that it is very much a niche category.
