If you don't use the TouchWiz stock launcher....

Yep. You can download it using the browser. Make sure to turn on the "Allow unknown sources" in your security settings. But, be sure to turn it off after you are done.

Can you post a screen shot of your main home screen running the Google launcher? Also, does it have Google now?

I don't run Google Experience Launcher. I use Nova. And yes, it has Google Now if you swipe to the left.

I'm curious, I've been using the Go Launcher for 3-4yrs, and am happy with it. But I am always open minded to. . .what do you like more about the Nova launcher?

I'm also using Nova Prime Launcher

So my next question is.. When I'm using Google now launcher, I'll be leaving behind anything Samsung? For example the camera features, tool box, unread badges etc?

I'm assuming you would be losing out on certain features of touch wiz but thought it was work an ask, maybe someone has experienced different..

You won't lose the camera features, because it doesn't replace the camera. What do you mean by toolbox? And, I am not sure about the unread badges because I haven't used Google Now Launcher for a while.

That makes sense. Samsung S5 offers new features that coke specifically with the new software. Touchwiz I'm assuming. Toolbox allows you to have a transparent tiny circle anywhere on the screen which follows you around. If you open it up you have quick access to five different apps of your choice. Little stuff like this I like that the Samsung offers, but I'm sure you would lose something like that when using the Google now launcher. Google has done such a good job with their launcher, it helps me in every way from personal life to the business life. I'm open to trying touchwiz but I'm worried that the launcher would be laggy like everyone has complained about over the years with Samsung phones.

Thanks for the info on the camera. That's amazing that the camera app doesn't change. I really like the features on the S5 camera!

The GNL apparently works fine, except for low-power mode.

Also, the tool box still works with other launchers. I've been running it with Action Launcher.

What icon packs do you use?

I had action launcher pro on my s4 with no special icon packs installed.

Based on this thread, I installed Nova Prime and love it. Interested in trying out different icons. Soooo many to choose from.

Anybody have any screenshots of the Google Now Launcher?

Accused Samsung and Verizon fanboy from my Verizon Galaxy S5

I used use Nova Prime, bit switched back to TouchWiz. Many of the S4 gestures and widgets that I like, don't run on non-TW launcher, so I switched back to TW. I also turned off all the TW animations and it the TW launcher runs really fast and quite happy with it.

I lose "OK Google" handsfree voice search when I use a 3rd Party Launcher.... back to TW.

If you are not using TouchWiz then what launcher are you using (that doesn't require rooting)?

Although I have an S4 (not the S5) I use either Apex Launcher Pro or Action Launcher Pro. Currently really Really REALLY loving Action Launcher. 3 screens, app drawer swipes in from the left side, and a quick drawer (for commonly used apps or widgets) swipes in from the right.

Plus Covers. Covers are amazing, like folders on steroids. Make a folder, open it, change it to a cover. Now it looks like just an app icon (with a small indicator on the lower right corner to indicate it's actually a cover). Tap on the cover, it opens the first app in that folder. Swipe up on the cover it opens the folder. HOW COOL IS THAT?

Sorry. Really love Action Launcher, but Apex and Nova are great choices too. And as with most launchers, it's well worth the money to upgrade to the full/unlocked/"pro" version. It really is
