What apps/methods are you using for watching tvshows/movies during public transportation?

I got rid of TV in my home and my family ONLY watches Netflix or Amazon. Last night my wife and I were watching Walking Dead on Netflix and suddenly the site went down. Tried reloading several times over different browsers over 10-15 minutes.

Finally, we just resumed watching on my Nexus in bed. The Netflix APP will work even when the SITE is broken. So our Nexus was very useful last night. :)

I bought the Nexus specifically to take on a vacation trip to China. My wife and I bith have iPads, but the size and weight of the Nexus is a lot more convenient. Also, I was not happy with the wifi on the iPad on a previous trip. Here are some ways I used the Nexus:

Book reader
To keep a journal of the trip
Emails
Keep track of trip schedule - hotels, restaurants, etc.
Phone calls - Skype
Read the NY Times and our home town paper
Follow play-by-play of the Rutgers - Arkansas football game
City maps
Find a bike store in Shanghai

And probably a bunch of other things I don't remember now

Now that we are home, I will use it mostly for book reading and emails.

I watch more TV on it than on my TV, which I'm aware may be weird. But size doesn't really matter when it's close to your face anyway.

Watching videos, and browsing the web. I was originally thinking of getting the new iPod touch to replace my old one, but ended up picking this up yesterday. Well worth the money to me! :D

Browsing, email, games, android central forums, running log. It is my number one used electronic device and wish it had LTE.

I love my Nexus 7, blows my Kindle Fire way out of the water. I use it for the following, if it's something daily, I'll note it.

Music - I use it mostly at home on Wi-Fi so I can stream my entire Google Music library.
Web Browsing - besides the frustrations of sites not properly building for mobile, the device itself is a pleasure
Games - Dead Trigger, every cot dam day. Phenomenal graphics with the Tegra 3
Email - reading emails is fine on my phone, but the Nexus 7 makes it easier to manage emails
Book Reading - I wish the Google Play Books selection was better, but I do read on it and have enjoyed it
Movies - this one is rare cause I don't watch a lot of TV and movies, but if I'm in bed and the wife is watching something lame, I can bring up a movie on the Nexus

I've been leery of taking it out as I haven't gotten a case yet. But I finally decided on a Portenzo, so I'll bring out with me a lot more and I'm sure I'll find new ways to use it.

Found it to be a fast easy way to interface with my NAS Vortexbox unit to make backups etc.rather than the pc. Use the wireless app to keep my excel worksheets updated for quick reference. Yeah read magazines and check news and weather. Once in awhile watch movies Only disappointing thing is the sound (use high end earphones) and the sound is not close to my ZuneHD64 so still use the Zune for music. Like everything else about it.

I mentioned elsewhere on the forums that if your N7 is rooted, you can download the "Beats Audio" drivers from Google Play. Those drivers are a major audio upgrade for this device.

Just bought my third N7 when visiting US, this one for my mother in law. My wife uses the first all the time, browsing and reading e-books. I use the second when playing (music gigs) live, it's a bit too small for sheet music but perfect for the chord charts. The Fakebook app [broken link removed] works perfectly on this tablet!
