I'm getting the following error. com.android.externalstorage has no access to content.

I have been using the apps zxtune and foobar2000 to play chiptune music (mega drive, snes, etc). Since upgrading my phone to Samsung S21, I am getting this error: com.android.externalstorage has no access to content. I've tried opening the media files with different file managers, placed the music in different folders, but I'm still receiving the same error. Has anyone received this error and is there a worker?

Under "special app access" settings in your phone look for "all files access" open it and then click the menu button and hit show system. Then find external storage and make sure it is enabled.
