of course I thought it probably wont activate. They guy was asking 275 and I lowballed 225 yesterday and he declined, today he says yes. He sent me the meid/esn and the one he gave checks out with Sprint, but I will verify in person tonight. I want the Evo but for this price I can't pass this deal up.

Yeah, he already mentioned he checked it in his first post. Problem with that is some people will provide a different ESN. Or maybe the owner hasn't reported it stolen yet (quick sale or owner thinks it's just misplaced).

Sounds too good to be true. Why would anyone possibly be selling it for that little?

Best of luck. I'd also add that picking a Sprint store with S&R would be an even better choice. Have the tech look it over. If you have TEP on your line, at least you know you can get a replacement if something is wrong with it.

I got ripped off once buying a Treo from Ebay. Did all my homework, ran the ESN before I paid, everything checked out. Between the time he dropped it in the mail and I received it, he reported it stolen. I was out of luck.
