[Android Central Question]

Images and videos are automatically getting deleted from gallery.This issue of mine is seen in android pie of samsung j7 pro phone.

If the recycle bin is on, photos and videos are moving to recycle bin.Incase the recycle bin is off,all videos n images are permanently getting deleted.

Please show a fix to my problem.

The images and videos dissaperaing are from internal storage of the phone

Do you have sync on and Google photos back up on ?

Yes both sync and google photos are ON

The pics and videos are automatically getting deleted from gallery to recycle bin evry day.All pics and videos are part of internal storage of phone.

Welcome to Android Central! The photos are backing up to Google Photos in the cloud? Go to photos.google.com on your computer browser -- are they all there? If so, you might have some sort of automatic cleaning feature turned on.

Yes there is some kind of feature is enabled i guess due to which photos n videos are being deleted.

In photos.google.com ,there are no photos.

We have to find out which feature is enabled that cleans the content.Please let me know what could be done in this case.

Do you have any 3rd party phone cleaner/battery saver/RAM booster apps installed?

Also, check the phone's own Device Maintenance app or feature (I'm never sure what Samsung decides to call it over the years), and see if there's an option there to Automatically Clean things.

Is it recent or older photos being deleted?

We haven't installed any unnecessary cleaner third party apps in phone which would delete phone's content.

In device care (device maintainance) app i have set every thing in check as far as my knowledge, but still could see the pics and videos getting deleted even after changing the settings.

The recent pics are getting deleted.

The recent pics and videos are getting deleted every few hours. From camera, whatsapp and other ways, pics and videos are getting accumulated and with in few hours of accumulation, pics/vids are moved to recycle bin every few hours

Where is the recycle bin that you're mentioning? Android itself doesn't use a recycle bin, so this must be part of the gallery app you're using. Is it the Google Photos app or the stock Gallery app?

Yes, recycle bin i am mentioning is in the gallery app.

As the android version of our phone is android pie, i donot have smart manager on it.

Although i have "device care" option on phone...

Sorry, I'm not quite sure what to try next. What happens if you turn of the Recycle Bin feature in the Gallery app -- do photos still get automatically deleted? I'm wondering if this has to do with the Recycle Bin feature itself.
