Impressions OP6?

Also about the cases I was expecting to like the nylon one and was expecting the included one to be trash but I actually love the included one, it's really slim and light, grippy, has raised bezels and air bags on the corners, the material seems nicer than other $1 silicone cases from aliexpres. The nylon one is a little too bulky and won't work with the magnetic car phone holder so I'm probably gonna list it on eBay or use it only on they when I need a lot of drop protection. I wished I would have gone with the karbon bumper when I had the 10% and free shipping but the stock is good enough for now

Agree the case which comes with the phone is actually my preferred. It's light, good protection, grippier. I also got the Karbonn case but it's slippery so just using the included case for now. I want to get the red silicon case but it takes forever for OnePlus to ship. Wish those things were available via Amazon prime

The jury is still out for me. I got it Wednesday and I already have an RMA started, but I am heading on vacation this week and will give it a run through before I send it back. Here's what I like: 1) design ( even the notch is fine), 2) Oxygen OS, 3) Gestures, 4) Dash charge, 5) Near stock Android experience.
What I dislike: 1) Display (terrible in sunlight and just sort of dull in general when in my car even, 2) performance. I have the 8/128GB midnight black and I swear I couldn't tell the difference between it and a phone with 4 or 6 GB RAM. , 3) camera. It's better than the 5T, but just barely, 4), vibration motor (weak as ****), 5), weight (a little too light), 6) No IP rating (not huge, but I'd love to take photos at the beach this week). I'll likely not take it to the beach if I'm going to possibly return it anyway.
That's it. It's a good phone for the price, but I'm thinking of getting a new resale condition 2XL on Swappa for under $600 and holding onto it until the Pixel 3XL comes out and see if I want to switch.

Both are good, OP6 is cheaper and better screen but XZ2 has better speakers, camera, wireless charging. Software wise both are great and snappy so either phone it's great probably XZ2 has much better/frequent monthly security updates. OP6 also has advantage in terms of storage 256GB vs only 64GB on XZ2 (yeah it has SD card but never a fan of SD cards).

Overall both are fine depends on what you want.

Which one has better battery life?

Which one has better battery life?
Haven't directly compared which one has better because when using both I never had issues with battery life. Both easily got thru the day with plenty left. There wasn't much difference when using either of them.

This is good to know! Thank you for sharing!

I'll sell you my Pixel 2 XL for $599.99. Comes with two cases and the charger. Mint condition. It's a great deal.

I'm keeping the OP6 cause I don't have those dislikes of yours. Lol Although I do agree with some (vibration motor, and camera (but I still like the camera, just not as good as pixel 2))

Aww, that would have been a good deal. I went with an LG G7. Hope I don't regret it. I like regular updates.

Coming from a Nexus 5 to the OnePlus 6 has been a great phone for me in the almost a week that I've had it.
I'm a pretty simple phone user so it meets my needs just great. Getting about 1 1/2 days with the battery which coming from the Nexus 5 and its 12-16 hour battery life is fantastic. I feel that I can actually use my phone again. I've been reading books on my commute now as I no longer have to worry about the battery crapping out on me. Pictures area great. Portraits are fun again! I got the 8GB/256GB model and have 1/2 my MP3s on the phone with tons of space to spare.
One thing that I wish was better was the LED notification light. Its pretty small and I have to purposely look at it to see it flashing, where on the Nexus I could often see it flashing out of the corner of my eye.
I had looked at the S9+, G7, and V30 before selecting this one and I'm not regretting my choice at all.

Awesome to hear you liking it! Even awesomer to hear you were still using a Nexus 5!! That was and still is my favorite phone I've used. And I do remember it having a pretty good LED, for what it's worth!

Possibly going to return due to poor battery consistency. My iPhone 8+ lasts all day and then some, oneplus 6 drains all day in my pocket. Really wanted to keep it, also android auto with its scroll disabling is a no go, Apple car play is much better in that regard.
As far as a oneplus RMA goes, they full refund on all accessories also? I did purchase some cases and tempered glass screen protector ( which is awesome btw, all oems should step up their game on that like oneplus.)

Love everything about it, the improvements they've made but I wish the price would stay the same. Less than $700 CAN.

I've said it many times OnePlus is THE best. If I wasn't addicted I would only buy OnePlus. I love the Dual SIM card, Oxygen OS is amazing. It's one of android OS I stick with. Dash Charging can't be beat.

One of the reasons why I want to get a OP phone in the future is Oxygen OS - I've heard amazing things about it. And I also want to try the Dash Charging feature. So glad you are loving the 6! How are you feeling about the notch?

The notch is awesome when hidden, you get a screen to body ratio similar to the S9+ (very slim bezels) but completely full screen experience (no navigation bar if using gestures and not satuts bar), instead your icons of the satus bar are shown discretely on the slim top bezel feels similar to the second screen on the V20

I posted how I hated it just by first impressions but after I picked up the Essential (because of the price drop) and actually used it, I don't mind it and it has it's purpose I guess.

I've been a fan of OnePlus since 3.
