In Froyo, slow transition between apps and Home

Yeah I know there's problems with 2.2 but id just like to see if anyone else I experiencing this problem and maybe a possible temporary fix. Whenever I exit out of any app, it takes about 2 seconds to get my Home Screen to load the icons. Obviously I didn't have this problem in Eclair. Anyone else experiencing a slowness instead of speed increase?

I have noticed that sometimes when i exit an app and if the screen i am going to has programs that are moved to SD card it tends to take longer to load the screen.
My home screen is set with NO apps on SD card, and it always loads fine. I started to notice this a few days ago.
This was also noticable on the Stock leaked DK28 release i had and last this week i went to the Syndicate ROM Frozen and its also happened a few times. Both roms are bassed off different versions of 2.2.1 and i think different Kernels.
It wasnt untill i moved a couple of apps from SD to PHONE on my home screen that i noticed it didnt do it anymore on that particular screen.
