Hi all,
I dropped my Samsung Mega and created a crack in the top corner of the screen. It still worked fine, however I dropped it again (I know, I am a butterfingers) and while the exterior didn't break more, I think I broke the digitizer that time because it no longer responds to my touch. I need to repair it to make it love me again.
So basically my very limited knowledge tells me that I need to replace the cracked exterior and the digitizer, and I have found kits for this which do not include the LCD screen display. The picture itself is still clear and working (as in, it starts up and I can see the lock screen, and the start up animations all work fine). Does that mean that the LCD display is still working? My first guess is yes, but I am unsure as this will be my first phone repair. I am assuming that if I purchase a screen repair kit with digitizer included, this will be all I need for the cracked screen as well, but please correct me if I am wrong.
Thanks for all your help!
