Hey all,

I have this wifi network on campus that uses 802.1x encryption. However my new Droid reads the thing as having WEP encryption. I can't figure out how to switch the scheme. And if I try to create. New network with the same SSID, the new network just says that the network is out of range. I can't financial force-try-to-connect to the network either. Any ideas in what I could do to fix this?

Sorry to dig up an old post, but I'm having the same problem as this guy, to the letter. Any help?

I am in the same boat with the HTC EVO. Here is what I have done:
- imported my TLS certificate and the CA certificate
- created a new WiFi connection

I am unable to "Forget" the automatically discovered 'WEP' access point and force the system to use the 802.1x access point.

Thoughts?

I know I am digging up an Old post but this is insane because I am having the same problem. It is rather pathiced that Android is really the only OS that struggles with this.
Blackberry works just fine iOS is a breeze but Android well does not work.

Any one got a suggestion because my phone sees it as WEP which it is not. I set it up taking using all the correct setting manually and the phone just see network out of range. Anyone have a working solution to this problem.
