Incredible or Droid X

I may be wrong, but if you are into gaming, the Droid x also has a gpu along with that bigger screen.

Droid Incredible has an Adreno GPU.

I say Droid Incredible all the way, it's Incredible. It's hands-down the best phone I've ever used.

I couldn't make up my mind about which to buy so I bought both. Each has its place. Both are awesome and both will do very well for my needs.

Hard decision but I own both the X and the Dinc and if I had to choose only one phone to carry everyday all day, it would have to be the Dinc. Love the X but too big for a all day carry for me.

LOL yeah I found that out too. I like the DX,,, functions fine just not as portable as the incredible .But still no regrets in getting it but not to give up D-INC for either .

The X is bigger but that is as much a plus as a minus. You can read things easier , better for movie playback, web browsing, etc. It is nothing like a tablet (really guys?), it actually fits your hand like a phone, ear piece by the ear and mic near the mouth - strange huh?

The X also has a faster CPU, much faster GPU (2x fps in benchmarks), 8GB more memory, better battery life and HDMI out. If you really like the smaller footprint and Sense UI then it is an easy choice, other wise the X is a great choice.

i'm debating if i want to have my droid incredible changed for the dx. i feel these two phones are based on each individual's needs. i for one like a slim phone, big screen, and better battery life. with that said, the dx seems to fit all my needs. i'm gonna play a few more days with my incredible and make my choice. if anyone wants to trade, let me know!

f3liC, I've got a similar situation as you except backwards. I have the DX but am debating if I want to switch to the DInc. I love the huge screen of the DX, but I think I like the physical look and feel of the DInc -- a little more sleek. I only have a few days left myself before my 30 days is up. I can't make up my mind.

I posted this in another thread and I'll post here too. I have both. Right now and the last few days I have been thinking about what I'm gonna do. Keep which one?

There is a certain connect between the user interface and the hardware which I believe the X lacks. Even after using the X for a week, it seems to me that things are just easier to do with the Inc. I don't feel it with the X. Hardware aside, the Moto UI is just terrible. The Inc UI is smooth, polished and fast. No lags.

I have to buy apps to make the X more appealing. LauncherPro to name one. I have to buy an app to make the unlock screen not lag, widgetlocker.

The Inc has great speaker and ringtone volume. The X does not. The X has good battery management, the Inc does not. Both phones get close to the same reception. I have both next to each other and the dBm's are close. The X shows 4-5 bars and the Inc shows 1-2. Both are around -85dBm.

One of my biggest issues with the X is the browser. Tapping the browser window on the Inc and the page zooms and fits to the window. The text is easy to read. Doing the same on the X does not yield the same results. With text size set to the same on both, zoom set to the same on both, I have to manually resize the window on the X.

Even if I set the text to large or zoom to close, the X browser window is a mess.

The row of 4 buttons on the X at the bottom. I don't really have a problem with the buttons themselves, but rather the layout. The home and menu button are reversed.

The screen on the Inc is easier to read, easier on the eyes. Both screens are terrible in the outdoor light.

The biggest problem I have with the moto is the noticeable lag I see/feel in certain menus/screens/apps. I know what it is, it's the Moto Blur crap. There are so many services running in the background, services I don't need or want. Plain and simple, blur is crapware/bloatware

Why Moto had to put their ****ty interface on this phone (aka moto blur) is just beyond comprehension. Sense is fully integrated, blur seems like an afterthought. Sense is smooth and fast on the Inc. Blur is cumbersome, slow and laggy.

I really want to like the X. The hardware is really nice. It's the other issues that bother me. I keep using the X in the hope it may change my mind. But not so much right about now.....

I also have the x but am thinking about switching it for the dinc because of the smaller size and the ability to flash custom roms. Either today or tomorrow I'm going to play with the incredible at the verizon store and then make my decision. Most likely I will end up switching to the dinc, but the x is still a great phone.

I feel the same way. If the x would have just had vanilla android it would have been much better. Sense is outstanding, which is why I will probably switch to the incredible.

i originally had my DInc, but due to internal GPS issues gave it back, and traded for a DX. it lasted 3 days before i sent it back. thing was just too big, and seemed much slower than the DInc. plus i felt it was less responsive, and the screen wasnt as nice. needless to say the DX a great device, but it just cant match the DInc IMO.
