I recently just rooted my Incredible, dont know I waited this long :p, anyways I was reading up on the .zip that makes the trackpad wake up your phone, however Im getting different feedback. Some say it sucks and not worth it, ( I guess you have to press it multiple times, and sometimes doesnt even work), and others say it works flawlessly... Anybody on here running and this and whats your opinion? I would like to know if its worth it or a waste of my time...
Thanks!
:)

That would be up to you.

I'm good with using the power button.

Used that feature on CM6. It's cool but I am used to using the power button.
Haven't tried the update zip you speak of. Figure it's about the same.

So pretty much kinda useless anyways then I guess. Maybe Ill mess around with it, haha, see how it works. 0_o

I love it.

It hasn't worked 100% for me, though. Sometimes you just have to tap it, other times you have to push and hold for a second or two. Either way, not a big deal. And with my case, this is easier than pushing the power button.

I just installed it a few hours ago. I just rooted too. Almost bricked it in the process!

Anyway, I like it. I think the problem people tend to have is that if the track reads a "swipe" then it won't react. As long as you push carefully you shouldn't have a problem. It has worked every time for me.

My only gripe is that it won't put the phone back into sleep. Then again, that would probably only work when on the home screen and not all the time like the power button. So I can see why it doesn't do that.

I installed the trackpad wakeup fix two days ago and it seems to be working perfectly now. At first it was often slow, especially when the screen went to sleep on its own without me hitting the power button. Now, however, the trackpad seems to wake the screen instantaneously. So much better than the power button!

Its nice to have the option of using either one to wake the phone up so I don't see a down side unless you just don't want the trackpad to wake it.

My question is will this work with the leaked 2.2? Cause I know the old method to change the boot animation doesn't work.
