Initial Thoughts on Evo 3D - Post Them Here!

I came from the 4g to this phone and it IS a UPGRADE! This phone is smokin fast and everything about it makes me glad I got it! I love this phone! The people that think it is only marginally better or worse have issues! You are either being paid for your negative reviews or dont know what you are talking about

I agree! You cannot call yourself a techie and say this phone is not an upgrade, everything about it is a big upgrade. I'm super happy with phone, I will definitely be be keeping it!

This phone is straight up titties! Everything is awesome. Even the 3d is way better than any of the reviews. Took several 3d pics and everyone I showed them to were in awe. Dedicated camera button is also way better than I thought it would be, brilliant even. Sense 3.0 is amazing. Superfast. I can install ALL the apps I want. I was very hesitant to go from the Evo 4g to this, but there are absolutely no regrets. All I need now is that kickstand case and my life is complete..:p

Ok, so I have used this phone for 24 hours. To me coming from the EVO 4G I have to say I love every single thing about the EVO 3D. Yeah this or that could be better or different but overall this phone is gonna be a blast for the next year. 3D? Yeah it's cool. Won't use it much but that is not why I bought it. I bought it for the specs and love it. I am a happy camper here. Sense 3.0 is awesome! :p

I'm less than impressed with the battery life. Full charge this morning, I've watched one 3d video for 3 minutes, sent 4 texts and played with some UI stuff for about 20 minutes...already down to 86% according to the curvefish battery life app. I don't have much running in the background, use taskkiller to kill everything. Overall I like the phone but the battery life was supposed to be a lot better and so far, for me, it's not.

got it yesterday as an upgrade to my evo 4g, it's blazingly fast, absolutely no lag in anything. Im very impressed with the feel, this is something im picky about. The phone really feels like a premium device. Very happy with my purchase

Bought three EVO 3D's at the Sprint store yesterday with my 2 yr upgrades. Seemless experience, had an excellent rep. We came from a Palm Pre, and two Blackberries. Everyone is very impressed with the phones, even my 5,000 texts a month son. You can completely avoid the 3D features if they make you dizzy like me. Battery life has been excellent however YouTube takes a toll on it. Very happy with my purchases. Would like to see the official Netflix app appear in the store soon, and I want a kickstand case.:)

Coming from the EVO 4G, had it for 24 hours, and I love it. Incredibly fast, 3D is fun, Sense 3.0 is a BIG improvement over 1.0, and I like that it's a little bit thinner and taller, despite that causing the keyboard to be just a bit narrower. If you like the EVO 4G, you will like the 3D; it's an upgrade in every meaningful way (speed, storage, screen, size, software, and others "s" words) with bonus 3D fun.

Bring on the unlocker -- I want to see what happens if you overclock this thing!

No need to wait. Download this file using your phone. It works great.

Anyone else notice the headset button doesn't work to answer calls or pause music/podcast. I have tried three headsets and they all work on my EVO 4g but nothing on the EVO 3d.

Got mine on Thursday night.. Beautiful phone. First android experience.. Still trying to figure things out. Battery life first day was not good. Almost dead in 7 hours.. Got advanced task manager to kills all the tasks that seem to run for whatever reason.. Hopefully this will help...

Mine gets delivered today and by the time I get home my building office that takes packages will be closed. I won't be able to get it until tomorrow morning. I am very interested in this thread though; so aside from bumping this post.... Any takers?

Please let me know how the battery life is for you

Well everyone knows the good already, but I'm not impressed with the camera in 2D so far and the speakerphone is worse than my 4G. Everything else rocks!

Is it just me or what, when using the camera. Taking a picture with the On Screen Button it freezes after 1st or 3rd picture, but works fine with the dedicated camera button.

Battery life for me at least has been excellent way better than my og Evo. I play with this thing for 5 hrs straight until my son said isn't your battery getting low and I quickly checked, 58 % left. It takes a lot longer to charge but that's the trade off.

I can't put it down. I think I'm in love. This phone is, the OS, the Android experience is sooooo addictive!!! Palm who?????? WICKKKEDDDD

Loving mine! It's incredible! I need to turn it off and on the charger long enough to get all the updates to install so I can watch the Green Hornet, etc. I wish the camera had a macro function, other than that, it's BLAZINGLY fast. Already reinstalling all my apps and stuff. The 3D camera is really neat. Been snapping pics of my dog, fiance', etc. What a rush!

Re: EVO 3D unboxing (share your experience and comparison with EV

I love the Elton John box inside the main one.
