Initially setting up my Chromecast and it keeps getting stuck at 100 with the initial update, how can I finish it?

Initally setting up my chromecast and it keeps getting stuck at 100% with the initital update

I have reset the wifi router. I had reset the chromecast itself. I have unplugged everything and replugged it back in. It continues to just be stuck there at 100% with the colors logo thing rotating around the 100%. Ive been looking forward to this awhile so I am furious and frustrated that I can not get this to work Please help.

Welcome to Android Central! Did you just buy the Chromecast? Is it brand new or refurbished? The unit might be faulty--try bringing it back to the store for an exchange.

You say you've reset the cc? Is that a factory reset or just a reboot?

To do a factory reset hold down the small black button on the cc for 30 seconds.

Also make sure to use the USB power supply that came with it or another good one. The TV USB sockets might not have enough power for setup even though they can run it in normal use.

The solution is simple. Connect your Chromecast to another ISP.

I tried everything on my chromecast, nothing worked until I took it to another home which had another ISP and it updated flawlessly.

3G/4G based connections did not work for me. good luck.
