is anyone else having problems with the stock band.

Just this week I went to the beach to take some photos, I drove home and after about 30 minutes I realised my watch was no longer on my wrist.

You can imagine my panic, I grabbed my phone and tried use it to see if my watch was within range of the Bluetooth. I raced back to the beach and started to search the area where I had been which was now just below the waterline, my phone said the watch was within range. After 15m of frantic searching I finally found my watch which to my surprise was in perfect condition.

You can imagine my relief since I've only had the watch a couple of months, determined not to let this happen again i raided the shed and now use a rubber washer on the strap to make sure that it can't come apart again.

Looks good..I don't have GF2 anymore, but while I had it, I've been using third part belt, bought through Amazon, and it was fine...

That's a good idea. No fun losing a $200 watch because it won't stay closed. I wound up buying a 3rd party strap after losing mine and a co-worker came up to me because she recognized my wallpaper picture and read my texts. SMDH, but at least I got it back.

I'm glad you got yours back, I did consider a third party band but I figured it would be a lottery to get a really good one, so far I've had zero instances of it coming unclasped.

Hmm. My Fitbit Charge was forever popping undone, but I never had the problem with the GF2 yet. One time the pip did come out of its little hole, but the end of the strap didn't slip out of the loop on the other end. But I can see how it might. My only complaint with the standart strap is I appear to be half-a-hole out of size, esp later in teh day when things swell up a little. I'm looking at a replacement strap with more adjustment.

How fiddly is it to get the o-ring on when you do the watch up? IWHT a replacement strap would be easier to deal with. Admittedly, the o-ring is cheaper!! :-)

It's not a problem sliding it up and down to put the strap on or off as it wants to roll. The good thing is the o ring doesn't move by itself due to the ridges in the strap. I don't feel the o ring either so you forget it's even on.
