So get the Moto X using the upgrade on your wife's tiered data line. The Moto X uses a nano-SIM
Activate the phone on your wife's line, you can have the store do it or you can do it through the website.
Take the Moto X home. Use the Verizon Website to put your wifes S4 back on her line. Click switch device, select your wifes line, select put phone previously used in your account, then select the S4, it probably will ask you for the number on the S4's SIM.
Once you've activated the S4 back on your wifes line it will free up the Moto X and the nano-SIM.
Go back to switch device, and now select your UDP line, Select the Moto X and it might also ask for the nano-SIM's number and put that on your UDP line. Then that's it.

so just to report back....phone arrived and I used old sim immediately and activated fine. Line still showing UDP intact, agreement extended on line and also strangely showing i still have an upgrade available on that line...

where does the pending activation show up online?

Could you refresh me with the steps you took, how did you upgrade? Transfer upgrade or BB method? Then I can help you better with your question. I'm gonna guess BB method since you see no pending act.

Business account...line 1 udp, line 2 2gb plan no upgrade

xferred upgrade to line 2, ordred vzw.com, threw sim away that came in it and used my note 3 sim that was on another line in my account

maybe since business acct, no pending activation? I don't see anything about it

Has anyone noticed on myverizon that when you click on upgrade my device it no longer takes you to the screen that lets you select transfer upgrade? WTF!

Edit: I stand corrected. They have changed the sequence of screens you are presented with. Ughh!

I just did the same thing. If I try to use dumb phone line though, it says I have to switch to more everything plan. I currently have 2 udp lines, one tdp line with 2 gigs, and 1 dumb phone line.

Freaked me out! But it works the same as before. For me I have one UDP line with upgrade avail. If go this route instead of BB method I will transfer upgrade to one of my TDP lines.

The BB route didn't work for me. It goes through everything but in the end is says it cant ship to home. I d have to pick up in store.

I put a credit card on my BB, but that didn't work. Now at Verizon, they wont let me transfer my upgrade from a udp to a tdp without changing to the more everything plan. wth

If I hit the change plan button, it says my plan is no longer offered and I have to call customer service

Ok I see. Petty sure this is phone dependant. What phone did you get? If it's a newer phone like the Note 4 or possibly still the iPhone 6 then this is why they want you to pick it up in store. I could be wrong but this seems to always be the case when demand is high for a phone.

Log into your account. Check the line see if it says unlimited data or 2gb.

I just went through the steps about 30 minutes ago and everything appeared to look just fine all the way up to the checkout page. Sure there is a popup about 2gb TDP and you click agree but this is in reference to the line you are transferring to.

I hope that the Nexus 6 isn't store pick up only. However, everything about the Nexus 6 on Verizon is still a big question. It might work to just order it on the Play Store too, if Google integrates ordering through the carriers like Apple and Microsoft do.

It looks like I will be forced to pay full price for the Note 4 as I only have one line with unlimited data (Verizon) and I'd like to keep it. Before I do so, are there any known discounts off the Note 4 for people in my situation? Thanks everyone for this valuable resource!
