Re: [Instruction] How to Keep Unlimited Data on Verizon
Good point. I was not aware of the contract extension and in the back of my mind I am aware their could be risks with going month-to-month as I am. I just know that I was trying to find information about how to do it the legit way and there isn't much info out there. I don't want to give Verizon any ammo to use against me if they decide to take a closer look at my account. (I even pay for hotspot, but I just add/remove the feature as needed and it comes out to about $1 per day that I have the feature active (prorated))
The way things have been going, I am hoping that verizon will eventually offer a respectable amount of data for a fair price and maybe I would be more willing to jump ship to a TDP someday. But like you said, for me it's worth it and works for me. Do what works for you.
Your way is definite the quickest! But still, you paid about $400 more than doing the BB upgrade method. To you, it was worth it. There is actually a potential advantage to using an upgrade. It extends the contract for 2 years, which would make it harder for Verizon to mess with the unlimited data in that time. If you're month to month, they could probably forcefully take it from you.
