Interesting. When I bought my first gen Moto X, there was a glitch that allowed upgrades to keep UDP.

So if it is a glitch, that is cool. I am just worried as what office space dubbed as "Fixed the glitch" what happens. Because if they do they may put us on the 2gb plan...

If you're paying 49.99 for unlimited there is no "glitch" you are allowed to upgrade at 2 year subsidized price and keep unlimited....
I just received my note 7 today! And it still shows unlimited.. I ordered through Verizon website.

Saw the phone was at local FedEx this morning and picked it up

Ah okay. Guessing that being on the $49.99 version makes it legit. Was just worried about what that phone rep said and that she would have to put me on the 2GB.

The only thing that makes me worried is when I called to get the upgrade fee waived, the girl said she could not put the order through without putting me onto a 2GB plan. So I did it online...which I am wondering if it is a glitch.

So I upgraded my L1 UDP to the note 7. I am currently paying the $49.99 for UDP. So from what I am reading, I should still be able to keep my UDP upgrading using the 2 year contract? I have the phone coming tomorrow and just want to be sure. Thanks!

L1 UDP (LG3), $29.99, month to month, upgrade eligible
L2 basic phone, no data
I've looked for the answer and couldn't find my particular scenario. Sorry, if I missed.

Do I have any options?

Question can I extend my contract end date by month by suspending it a month?
Trying to extend my contract another 2yrs by extending the contract end date then hopefully still have the same upgrade date and using the upgrade.

They change the suspension thing. You used to be able to suspend for 3 months with no charge. Now they charge you $10 a month.

The system won't even let me suspend my lines because I pay $9.99 per line. I guess it will not include the unlimited data costs.

Well happy to report that I was able to activate my phone without any issues. My UDP is still intact. So I guess if ur on the 49.99 UDP u are good to go as has been reported over the last few days. I see new ppl posting all the time. So to recap:
1line UDP 49.99 upgrade available, used bbm and activated phone with sim card that the phone came with.

Just Used the SIM that came with it... no problems - no hassles

In fact the Verizon paperwork in the box says unlimited data - web - email etc... I usually would have just used my old SIM but I said 'what the heck' and just turned the phone on outta the box...

The "smart switch" did take about 2 hours to complete from my note 3 ... I was even using a usb3 cable

Hello all, please help I have read through the Slickdeals and I've read like the last 60 pages of this thread and I'm still confused, my situation.. $29.99 unlimited data customer both lines.
L1 UDP no upgrade available
L2 UDP upgrade available
Order Galaxy Note 7 that Line 1 wants.. when I receive phone destroy SIM card.
Insert line 1 SIM into Note 7. Never use subsidized phone on line 2. Would just be using the LG V10 currently on line 1 on line 2.
Am I good? I think from what I've read it's okay, scared to pull the trigger though any help would be greatly appreciated, I already ordered the phone it's on its way.

Forgot to mention that I did order the upgrade through Big Red, not Best Buy. I've also read subsidized phone should just be sold, not used on any unlimited line you might have on your account. thanks again in advance for some help here.

Just destroy SIM and sell note 7 and rebut a clean one from swappa... if you ever accidentally swapped sim cards in the future you WILL LOSE UDP... I've got 2 phones and I sometimes swap sims to trouble shoot or if you send a phone in because you cracked your screen a year from now I would hate for you to lose UDP because you forgot about the SIM swap issue... I wouldn't even want that phone at my house if you know what I mean

Thank you so much for confirming what I needed to know! Slick deals post was totally confusing the heck out of me> I picked up my note 7 from airport short while ago (missed my FedEx driver earlier) going to give it a go here pretty quick and Will report back.
