That's what they told me as well. The representative said that they worried it would force a change in activation...but, glad to hear that someone has had success. I had a chat before I clicked complete order and the representative confirmed that my UDP would not change. I also had a chat and they said they saw the unlimited data on the order. So, it seems like the chat people have a different perspective than the voice people.

Just an update in case anyone searches for information on the $54.99 stand alone NATIONWIDE MESSAGE+EMAIL & WEB plan.
I emailed BB about the online ship-to-home orders failing. Their response:
"Yes, you can place an new order and I suggest you to visit the nearest Best Buy store so you will be assisted by our store representative. No worries, the order will successfully go through once ordered at the store."
I had tried ordering with another person's credit card and the orders would still fail, seems to be linked to the home address or because I rent and don't own the house or something IDK whatever.
Anyway, I tried putting the order in again and it has not been cancelled. The order has moved forward in the BB process and I see on verizon that my upgrade date and contract end date are in 2018. UDP is intact some 18 hours after placing the order.
Phone should arrive on Monday 8/22. I plan on destroying the SIM and selling the phone and I'll post again then.

I'm just wondering if someone can help. I've read through a few pages but this is my first time trying to get a new phone but keep my unlimited and I want to make sure I do it correctly. Best buy has the droid Maxx 2 for $1 with 2 year activation. Can I order through best buy and activate and be able to keep my plan as is with my unlimited data?

Fyi... Saw my note 7 was at local FEDEX facility ! Write down tracking number and hand them your ID ..
DON'T tell them it's supposed to be delivered tomorrow blah blah blah and DON'T OPEN your mouth... They will probably just go through the motions and go get your package and let you sign for it !!
I'm opening my note 7 now !! Woohoo

You can do a SIM card swap or you can activate the phone on line 2 when you get it. After go online and put the original line 2 phone back on, freeing up the new phone, then just add it to line 1. If you do the 2nd method no need to do anything with the SIM card.

So I upgraded my L1 UDP to the note 7. I am currently paying the $49.99 for UDP. So from what I am reading, I should still be able to keep my UDP upgrading using the 2 year contract? I have the phone coming tomorrow and just want to be sure. Thanks!

The only thing that makes me worried is when I called to get the upgrade fee waived, the girl said she could not put the order through without putting me onto a 2GB plan. So I did it online...which I am wondering if it is a glitch.

When you get the phone for L2, activate it. Take that SIM out and put it in whatever phone you want to use on L2 (may need an adapter).
Put L1's SIM in the phone that used L2's upgrade.

Interesting. When I bought my first gen Moto X, there was a glitch that allowed upgrades to keep UDP.
