Quick question about a Nationwide family plan:

Line 1: UDP @ $30/mo, Contract expires 9/23, Upgrade eligible
Line 2: TDP, Still under contract

Happy with current phone on Line 1. Want a new phone on Line 2. If I use Line 1's upgrade to get a new phone under 2yr contract, then destroy the new phone's SIM and insert SIM from Line 2 to activate, will that cause Line 1 to lose the UDP?

I want to avoid losing UDP and avoid the UDP price increase on Line 1.

L2: UDP $29.99 Contract end: 10/28/2016 (S6 Edge plus) but eligible upgrade or transfer upgrade

I want to keep UDP $29.99 another 2 years. I am thinking 2 ways
1. Can I upgrade phone via Best Buy with the subsidized price Galaxy note 5? (Once I receive note 5 destroy the sim and sell it or insert Line 1)
2. Transfer upgrade to Line 1 and buy subsidized price Iphone 7 $299.99 via best buy. Destroy sim and insert UDP line sim to Iphone 7?

Yes, provided that the upgrade is pushed in the same billing cycle in which your contract ends.

Been a while. Beating the very dead horse here but always better to be safe then sorry. Using Best Buy, I'm attempting to upgrade a UDP that has been hit with the 20 buck increase. Now paying 49.99 off contract. I have read here recently that people were having success getting the subsidized price thru Verizon and keeping their UDP but what about BB? Reason I want to use BB is the Moto Force is a lot cheaper and you get the JBL speaker for free. I've done the BB method in the past and used my cut down sim from a different line from the one I am upgrading from and that is my intentions again. The image attached had me spooked, naturally but it always had some sort of image or pop-up that said something to this effect. Am I correct in thinking that nothing has changed and all I need to do is throw out the sim it's shipped with and insert mine? And eventually the activation will drop off over time from the line I used the upgrade from? Thanks in advance!

To summarize:
line 1 UDP: 49.99 upgrade avail. (place order thru this line)
Line 2 UDP: wanting to use line 1 upgrade on this line. Have it shipped , destroy pre-installed sim card, insert mine. Line 1 activation eventually drops off.

I have two lines
L1 UDP $49 upgrade available
L2 UDP $29 no upgrade

I bought a new phone from BB site using L1's upgrade. As I understand it, my UDP should remain since I'm paying the higher amount already. I want to use the new phone on L2. Can I go straight to using the new phone on L2 or do I need to activate it first on L1 and then move it to L2? Obviously, intent is to keep the $29 UPD on L2.

So reading all the posts I assume that doesn't work? Can anyone give a definitive answer on exactly how to do this now?

My upgrade and contract expiration is 11/1/16. Just want a definitive answer because I was planning on ordering an iPhone 7.

You can do the best buy and sell. The plan change happens now when the phone is activated on your account. If you get back on contact before your billing date you will keep data at $29.99.

I would just order a phone with the best resale value that is not backordered. Still that phone and purchase your new phone at full retail.

Hey everybody, I'm trying to get the iPhone 7 Plus. Here is my situation.

I currently have two lines.

Line 1 (mine) - Unlimited Data Plan, not eligible for upgrade until 09/2017

Line 2 (mom's) - 2GB data plan. Available for upgrade right now.

Can I purchase the iPhone 7 Plus under my mom's line via device payment plan or 2 year pricing and then once I receive the phone, that I simply stick my SIM card into the new phone to keep my unlimited data?

Im basically in the same situation except both lines are eligible for upgrade. Both lines are on the same account and mine is month to month and my moms contract ends on the 28th. Can i use my moms line on 2 year pricing and put my sim card into the phone to activate it and keep unlimited data? Sorry if its been answered tried reading through everything theres just a lot of information and Im still a little confused... Don't want to lose that unlimited data. Any help is greatly appreciated

More than likely I will have to wait because iPhone 7 is back ordered. So if I do my upgrade after my contract ends my data goes up to $49.99? At that point couldn't I just upgrade through Verizon since my contract is up and I won't lose my ULD? Or should I stick with BB?

Currently I have 2 UDP lines. Line 1 eligible for upgrade Line2 eligible in December. I chatted with Verizon today and was told that I could let the contract date on line 1 expire and go month to month. In doing so I would be able to either upgrade paying monthly or full retail. If I did either of these I would keep my unlimited data. My concern is that if I go month to month I may be forced from unlimited data. Would it be best to try to get back under contract? If so, what would be my best option? Option 1: Upgrade line 1, destroy sim and sell phone. Option 2: Transfer upgrade to Line 2 (could I the new phone on line 2 and not lose its unlimited data) or does anyone have any other ideas.

Also, the rep told me that my plan will not have the increase to $49.99 as my data is included in the cost. She stated the increase only happens on Nationwide plans.

I cannot even get DSL where I live, so if something happens I'll have to go to satellite internet, which I do not want to do.

Im thinking if I put the Sim that I have currently in the Mifi into a cell phone and upgrade it then (for a new 2 year contract), then once things settles back down I'll be able to put it back in the mifi. Do you think this would work or not? The phone I get, I can then use it on my "Main" account UDP plan.

Another option? Yesterday I posted asking about letting a contract expire or trying to stay under contract. Today I have another scenario I have questions about.

I have two unlimited lines: L1 eligible for upgrade and L2 eligible in December

Can I transfer L1 upgrade to L2 purchase an iPhone 7, destroy sim and replace with sim from my phone (L1) and keep unlimited data on both L1 and L2? If possible would that then place L1 on contract for another 2 years and still allow L2 an upgrade at the end of its current contract in December?
