I have upgraded my 3 lines in the past 3 months with Best buy .com and my lines are still $29.99
I upgraded the same month when the contract was up. I didn't want to see my lines go up to $49.99
Only thing to remember is don't ever, ever, ever use the phone that you upgraded on to the same number. In other words,
L1 has a upgrade
L2 has a upgrade
L3 has a upgrade

when you upgrade L1 use it on the other lines, L2 or L3, but never ever on line L1. even after a year.

I didn't try Verizon. com only Bestbuy.

Question: If my billing cycle ends on 9/21, does it mean I can still upgrade on that date to keep $29.99 UDP? Or do I have to do it by 9/20? Another - do be safe, should I order an in-stock iPhone to sell or can I order a backordered one and still be locked into $29.99? Thanks so much, finally ready to pull the trigger but due to being out of the country and Verizon needing to verify each purchase with a text to my phone, that is creating some issues.

The update needs to be pushed by the last day of the cycle . Back orders won't push the upgrade until usually the day of delivery, or when shipped at earliest.

You can ask Verizon to change the billing cycle if you need a few more days.

I asked this question in the Note 7 forum with no response. I've got a pending upgrade (PU) on a line after doing the a basic line upgrade. Should I be concerned when I swap my Note 7 (for the recall) into Best Buy? From my understanding, Best Buy is treating these recall replacements as either returns in their system or upgrades. I'm not sure which.

I just want to make certain it will NOT affect my UDP when I swap for the recall.

I think nobody answered because your case is pretty unique, probably not a lot of people with the exact same situation as you. So don't know if anybody would have a concrete answer.

The update needs to be pushed by the last day of the cycle . Back orders won't push the upgrade until usually the day of delivery, or when shipped at earliest.

You can ask Verizon to change the billing cycle if you need a few more days.

OK, FINALLY placed an order for iPhone SE 64GB and moved my billing date from 9/21 to 10/1, hopefully that will do it as right now the account shows it's month-to-month... Hopefully it will soon change to a contract date.

Have you checked it? My isn't up until Nov but they made the 2 year contract renewal available when the new iPhone went on sale. So I can upgrade now.

L2 dumb phone YES
L3 TDP NO

From what I read I could go "Jaycemiskel" route, order iP7 from apple.com using L2 upgrade, ship to home, destroy the sim, use the old sim from L1 or L3 to activate, and continue to use it on either L1 or L3 without being stuck with data charges for L2? Simple as that?

I might be a guinea pig unless someone on here has some insight they can shed on my situation Smilie

Originally I posted I had the following situation:
L1: UDP iphone 6 plus CED 11/4/17
L2: UDP iphone 5s upgrade eligible plus got hit with $20 (at this point I don't even know if the $20 would come off I just dont want to lose my UDP)
L3: Basic line 3/19/17

So I was just interested in upgrading L2 to ip7. Before doing so I did what others suggested and upgraded L2 through BBM and sold the iphone. I preordered the ip7 through apple but it asked me for my phone number so not to risk losing my UDP I bought at full retail price using L1 phone number. It made me enter a phone number. (not sure if this makes a difference since the ip7 will be activated on L2). Only yesterday did I realize when powering on the phone even after popping in L2 sim card that the phone is associated the L1 number. AND I have PENDING UPGRADE on L2 so I am holding off on activating the ip7. I am scared it will change the data plan or screw something up.

Does this sound right?

Anyone have a similar experience? How confident are we that after the PU falls of L2 I will be able to activate the new ip7.

Transfer the upgrade from line two to line three. Then you should be ok

You should be able to upgrade seven days before the contract end date.

You should be fine since the iPhone 7 was bought at full retail.just pop in the current 5s sim
