I tried a second time via BB...the only change I made this time was to create a billing password. Success! (At least ordering the device.) It is supposed to arrive tomorrow and I will let you know what happens once I swap SIM cards.

I don't have a billing password setup, but can't cancel because my order is already in process. We'll see if I get the email...

Do you guys think this tends to work better and more efficiently when you choose expedited shipping? It seems like if choose the standard shipping, which takes almost 2 weeks, that Verizon & best buy have more time to catch what's going on and question it? This makes me really want to choose expedited shipping... hmmmm

I see that the verizon iphone 5 has a nano sim card. I want to upgrade to the iphone 5s and it says that it has a data card adn nothing about a sim card from what I've researched. Does anyone have any idea?

So I just looked at Best Buy and it looks like I can upgrade my device while keeping the same(unlimited) plan. I read the last several pages and from what I can gather, I should:

1: select keep the same plan
2: have the phone sent to my house
3: insert the sim card from my current phone that is on unlimited data before turning on the phone
4: then turn the phone on
5: keep unlimited data

I've had a hard time finding the most current instructions. Is this what I should do? Or if someone can give me a link for the most recent instructions that would be great! Sorry I cant find them. And I really dont want to loose unlimited data so I want to make sure I have perfect crystal clear instructions

It doesn't take 2 weeks I ordered mine last wed and its showing up today. 1 week that's it.

Main line 1 UDP (razr Maxx) with discount upgraded .Line 2 iPhone 4 2gig data plan no upgrade Will this method work for me if I transfer my upgrade to line 2 to get new phone, but activate on on line 1 ?

No, you have to upgrade your main line, just follow the direction in post # 1119

OK, I may have messed up here and sorry if this has been brought up before. I have a 4S and bought a new 5S on Best Buy and a SIM cutter. I received the 5S only to realize my 4S doesn't have a SIM. I also have a non-UDP line on my account. What's the best course of action to keep my UDP, or I have I screwed myself by not having a SIM already associated with my UDP line (I can't switch the services or do much on Verizon's web site due to the pending change order)? I've thought of a few but I'm not sure the feasibility or each, looking for recommendations please:

- Try to get a free SIM from Verizon store or have them ship one.
- Pay for an unactivated SIM on eBay and activate on the non-UDP phone, then use the SIM on the new 5S.
- Buy an LTE phone and see if Verizon will provide SIM and activate in store, then use that SIM on the new 5S.

Any other options? Thanks for your guys' input.

Yep, just make sure that your old phone has a SIM card, and you shouldn't have any problems

I would think so but I'm not 100% on that, Maybe someone that has also had the some problem with this will chime in with better info.

Great thread and I am about t take the plunge. Here is my situation. I am the primary line and have UDP and upgrade available in 20 days. My sister has 2gb data plan and an upgrade available. She told me I could use her upgrade as long as she doesn't get locked into contract (she is almost out of contract and wants to do month to month). So if I use her upgrade and then transfer that phone to my line will she be in contract or will I? Any help would be appreciated

Just got my HTC one M8 with the promotion they had going on. did the sim swap after i cut mine down and so far still have my UDP. will report back if anything changes.
