The s6ep that originated from the line 1 tdp upgrade can be put on the line 2 udp.

When you upgrade using the line 2 UDP then that phone can't be put on line 2 udp ever.

I DO NOT want to renew the contact on my TDP... if I transfer the upgrade to the TDP will that renew my contact for the tdp line? ?

If I transfer the upgrade to the TDP why would that subsidized phone affect my UDP LINE? ? Will it renew my contact with the UDP instead of the TDP if I transfer upgrade?

Once again I do NOT want to renew contact for TDP. Plus my wife is ordering a NOTE 7 through her work verizon plan. Can I order through BB on the UDP - destroy sim -and swap note 7 with wife?

Also when I sign into Verizon wireless it shows that I caN upgrade my UDP line with subsidized phone without changing plans. ... ill try and post photo... is this a trick from Verizon? Gage

Line 1 was able to upgrade so, last week, I ordered subsidized S6 Edge Plus via bestbuy online with 2years upgrade.

I've tried to order from BB that s6 edge plus on several occassions and it says "Must select store for pickup" ... it would not allow me to select shipping on that particular phone (I think it's $1 ) .... Anyway I see that you ordered last week from BB and they shipped you an s6 edge plus? ? Is this correct. ... it allows me to do ship any other phone just not that one

I posted this a couple days ago. I ordered the Z Force this weekend for pick up at BB. They no longer activate the phone when you pick it up. You just pick it up in the box at the "Store Pick Up" area. At least the one I went to in Houston.

Your tdp line would need to be on contract in order for you to transfer the upgrade from udp to tdp. But yes, transferring udp to tdp would only push the upgrade date on the UDP line. The tdp upgrade date won't change

Ok guys. .. I don't quite understand. ... I logged into verizon wireless and selected upgrade phone with 2 year contract. ... it allows me to select Samsung s7 edge for subsidized price of $299 for my UDP and it allows me to keep my current unlimited data for 49.99

What's the catch? Why can't I just order through Verizon and keep my unlimited data?

Is this thread just for the people that have the 29.99 unlimited data? ? So if you have the 49.99 udp you can still upgrade with no issues? I thought the whole problem was you can't keep your unlimited with any subsidized phone ... or is this thread all about the $20 monthly difference

Yep. You can buy from Verizon, just make sure you do the full-retail price option.

And you can buy a phone at full-retail price wherever Verizon-compatible phones are sold.

Did you purchase it? I did. They gave me the same option and I went through the entire transaction without being told to pick a new data plan. Before check out I saw that it had my plan still listed. I bit the bullet and I'm locked in for 2 years. If this works I'm under contract so they can't touch my UDP.

I hope I'm right

Yeah pre ordered the note 7 through Verizon for 299 and kept my unlimited data for 49.99...

So this whole thread is for people jumping through all of these hoops for the $20 a month difference I guess.... my bill is about $100 a month with unlimited text etc.... I'll happily pay that for 50gb a month I burn through. .. haha. .. hell last month I burned 70gb

Anyway note 7 pre ordered!

Okay so I've read through much of this thread but I'd love verification.

I'm on a plan with my parents, we'll call them L1 and L2.

L1 recently upgraded and is a TDP

L2 recently upgraded and is a TDP

L3, me, haven't upgraded since I got my S5, but still have my UDP and currently have my upgrade.

Now can I transfer my upgrade to L1 or L2, have them get a new phone, and then use that new phone (probably an S7)? Or is it the fact that my upgrade was used to get that phone make it toxic for me?

Also what is the alternative? Go through BB with my upgrade, destroy new sim, sell new phone online, then what?

Then go to swappa and buy whatever you want with the cash you make from selling it

If you're unlimited data is 49.99 then just straight upgrade through Verizon and there's by hoops to jump through. ... this thread is really for those that still have 29.99 unlimited data

This thread was started long before the $20 increase. It is only recently been discovered that you may be able to order directly from Verizon if you are at $49.99 unlimited data. This has not been confirmed that I can see from Verizon officially.

You can buy on a Device Payment Plan if you got hit with the $20 increase, thus no real hoops to jump through to get a new phone and not have to pay full retail price immediately.
