On amazon it's cheaper to buy the international version. Is there any difference? I'm in the us on AT&T.

I wouldn't do it. I once bought a Motorola atrix 2 on amazon cause it was cheaper. The plug wasn't a US plug, had an adapter. It got sluggish very quick. Quicker than any phone I ever had. Then the calibration on the screen started getting crazy. And I ended up having to buy extra batteries for it cause it would drain them in just a few hours..... I don't know if it was cause of the international thing or if the phone was just bad in general. But after that experience I'll only buy from my carrier.

The global version? It has octa core, only available in 16GB, no usb 3.0 cable and no download booster.

That would be alright. It's going to be daughters phone. No need for her to use data while on wifi. Any other downsides?

You talking about using the international version or download booster?

International version. I just wanted to state the differences, I don't think they matter too much and it's still an awesome phone, as a matter of fact the best phone I've owned.

Did you get yours from amazon? Also what carrier are you with?

First things that come to my mind are:
1.: phones have not exactly the same specs
2.: Import taxtes? It might be that the country is charging the company more then others for the phone to be sold in their country, hence a higher price perhaps?
