iOS 7 vs Android

Their interface looks just like any up to date android phone... looks like they've been paying too much attention to Google lately. Looks like they use the same font as well

I think the Apple engineers got a couple of Android phones and figured out how they could make the iPhone look more like the Android. They only thing they couldn't copy was a decent screen size.

Except if you actually look at the OS, its really just a reskinned version of iOS 6. It looks, and works, nothing like Android.

Apple may not have talked about all the features at WWDC, but I doubt they are adding many, since they actually *are* releasing a beta version of iOS 7 now. The release version isn't available till the Fall, but the beta version is. So we will hear from people beta testing, but I seriously doubt there are major new razzle-dazzle features Apple will whip out.

There's someone on Craigslist in my area selling a 64gb unlocked iPhone 5 for 750 signed into there developer account running ios7 beta wouldn't mind playing with that a few weeks I'm android all the way but still love new or refurbished tech in this matter

I think it's hilarious some people think apple is copying android. I see nothing similar to android. It still looks like ios but a lot more fresher and it's by no means better. I really think certain trolls need to calm down and not get so exited. In the past I have always had a iPhone that compared to androids "open source" ginger bread, honey comb..ext .. and found my iPhone a much cleaner better experience with the whole apple echo system, iTunes ect... Now of course with android maturing over the years coming from a n4 to now my HTC one .. "Holy ****" does android stomp apple.. I mean the stuff I can do on my droid compared to a jail broken iPhone is miles apart.. I'm still learning new stuff about my phone everyday..

I need that wallpaper effect! I think its fair to ask for it cuz apple literally copied android.

Its on the play store and has been for months..............

Which doesn't mean that they copied it from android. Similar concepts have been floating around since 2008-2009. One of them was by TAT, which was bought by Blackberry. The exact functionality is likely very different as well.

As for your second question, yes, they always do that. And the version on the new iPhone always has new features not announced in the betas.
Please link me to a news report of an event as prominent as the WWDC that announced the beta version of an iOS iteration, for the release version to actually come out on new hardware. I do not think that has ever happened. Apple used the spotlight to release the beta, as opposed to just announcing it without the fanfare. If they bait and switch later, they'll tick off their fan base.

I think you're confused. (I think you may be missing some words too, but I can't tell)

Apple always announces betas of iOS at wwdc. Then in the fall, they announce a new iPhone. At that same event they announce availability of the iOS updates for other devices, as well as the final feature list. That feature list almost always includes items that were not a part of the beta, some of which are exclusive to the new handset.
Is that more clear?

I had a Go Launcher theme a few years back that looked EXACTLY like their new, innovative iOS7....That's how. Take a look at the MIUI apps on the rooted phones. I suppose iMusic is new, too...(Nevermind Pandora, Sirius, etc) iCloud was new too...after Dropbox, and a thousand others.

But Go Launcher is not Android.

Really you're saying Apple didn't copy Android, but copied specific users who had customized their devices in a way Apple found favorable. That doesn't make sense.

No. It is exactly as clear as you previously were, which is very clear. I was questioning the voracity of your statement; I understood it perfectly.

Doing some research, however, I see that you are in fact correct. So I stand corrected, and with some amount of egg on my face. O:-)

No worries. I didn't know if I said it clearly enough, hence the restating.

So what has android "created" lately that is so ground breaking since everyone is bashing apple for not being innovative I figure I'd ask.

The functionality of iOS is what lags behind Android; I'm not saying Android was the creator of the universe by any means, but with each iteration of Android Google has been more innovative than Apple has with iOS, IMO.

I mean, six years before updated icon appearances doesn't exactly scream cutting edge. ;)

Of course, I'm biased though.

I'm not sure what people's direct perception of the innovation factor is, but I think there probably is a double standard. This might stem from the perception that Google tries to come off as saying, "lets all play together, for free, and make things as cool as we can" while Apple says, "Hey! Look what we created! It's teh bestest ever!!!!". Of course, Google is a company and isn't doing anything, "for free" even if they do have an interesting ideological outlook on technology, and Apple is just a company marketing. Perception is a big thing, but it doesn't necessarily equate to the actual intentions of a company, if a company can even have intentions.

Apple has definitely caught up I can say that.

If it costs money, you're the customer.

If its free, you're the product.
