iOS 7 vs Android

iPhone reminds me of AOL when they had customers that knew almost nothing about the internet and computers, so they had a "training wheels" ISP.

Haha you are so right!! I hate to admit it but I was one of them, for a short time. When my Russian buddy was like, "Bro, you DON'T need AOL to log into the internet anymore!!"......I was like.....WHHAAA?!?! I don't understand!!!! AOL is the ONLY WAY TO THE INTERNET!!!!.........lolol!

Been there, done that.

They ALWAYS wait to reveal blockbuster features until the iPhone announcement. Its what apple does.

This is true only if you assume that Apple will release a new iPhone along with the final release of iOS 7. I haven't seen any indication that they will.

As for what Apple always does, does Apple *always* release a public beta version of the new OS on existing devices and then make the final release on brand new hardware?

Besides new iOS 7 is too ?bright? (in my opinion), new technological improvements make it better. It takes more from Android and it is not a problem ? we always try to follow the best:)

From a thread on your (almost) forgotten sister site: http://forums.webosnation.com/webos-discussion-lounge/325115-yep-ios7-has-card-multitasking.html

AC's Jerry Hildenbrand got it right: Apple's iOS 7 'copied' everyone - and that's a good thing | Android Central I tried iOS 6 and it just made me yawn. A long overdue refresh of the UI... I won't buy into it, but if it filters down to the 3GS I have, I'll install it to play with.

I totally agree with that. but it does make all the kicking and screaming by Apple (via their lawsuits) seem a little hollow. Apple has been the one complaining the loudest about people ripping off their ideas. And now this? It is pretty funny. But if i was an iOS user, I would be very happy with this progress.

I think the original WebOS version still looks the best.

They will announce the final release of iOS 7 at the iPhone event. They have done it every year since the iPhone was introduced.

As for your second question, yes, they always do that. And the version on the new iPhone always has new features not announced in the betas.

Not necessarily. Apple never gives away all of the features at WWDC. We'll get the full feature list at the iPhone announcement in the fall.

I think the only new feature will be a 5 inch screen. Besides the usually better camera and other shiny enhancements.

5"? Didn't they just move from 3.5 to 4 and treat it like building the pyramids?

I can this part of the Androidinnovation of Apple. First we take widgets/mulitasking/toggles. Now part 2 is a 5 inch retina display screen using Gorilla Glass 15 and advance triple dpi.

Just watch they may even find a way to slide in a SD card on the side.....

wow seriously is messed up with my replies lol.

Ya know why i regret about the N4? Because it doesn't have a sd card, and because of the voice search. I love siri, it can answer much more questions than google. Though this i love android, and hope that sometimes we, android users, will also get siri.

You prefer Siri over Google Now? That's interesting, I haven't seen that much before. Over the old search app or s-voice, yes, of course, but Google Now seems to win out over both consistently. What do you like more about Siri?

As i said, one can ask siri much more questions, and i didnt say i dont like google now for this.

My version of Siri/Google Now is looking towards the passenger side and asking my wife to Google something on her HTC One. Much more accurate, but sometimes can be argumentative too.

Their interface looks just like any up to date android phone... looks like they've been paying too much attention to Google lately. Looks like they use the same font as well

The font was being used by apple since 2007. It is Helvetica Neue. Roboto is an open source rip off of that font.

I really don't see the resemblance. How so?

I had a Go Launcher theme a few years back that looked EXACTLY like their new, innovative iOS7....That's how. Take a look at the MIUI apps on the rooted phones. I suppose iMusic is new, too...(Nevermind Pandora, Sirius, etc) iCloud was new too...after Dropbox, and a thousand others.
