Iphone guy

I think the user experience may vary with user needs. For longevity it's hard to beat an ipad because of software support since I imagine most people don't trade up tablets as often as they do phones. At least I don't, but I also don't find much need for tablet between my phone, laptops, including a Pixelbook that can also be used as a tablet.
Yeah man .. iPad can go a long way and run smoothly... I have a MacPro from 2011 that still runs flawlessly... I only swapped out the SSD .. did give it a Samsung one .... iMac ... All in ! Hehe

Sorry, calling bull**** on this. Samsung's tablets are nowhere near as smooth and put together as an ipad, especially the pro tablets. Apple has that down. Same with laptops. Samsung is a hot mess with those.

Yeah, I have spent a ton of money on Samsung tablets, the high end ones, and this iPad is just better for what I use it for.

Oh well, can't win them all!! :D

(yet)

I love how you all make this about intellect due to a choice of OS. Both have advantages and disadvantages. It's a preference for Christ's sake. I had a couple of Samsung during the TouchWiz days and what a POS those phones were. I was originally with ios when the first gen iphone came out. I went back and forth and couldn't stay with android mainly because it was such a hot mess for years. Much better now. They're really about equal. iOS doesn't have exclusive rights to "it just works". They both do.

People will argue the os is more polished with iOS, when in reality it's just simplified and dumbed down for grandma.

Whatever. Because its about integration and ease of use. Hardware and software made by the same folks makes a huge difference. Plus, ios usually beats the heck out of Android phones in speed, battery efficiency, cameras, performance, etc and they have the services to compliment it all. Being able to customize everything, have 50 choices for a flipping text app, not to mention duplicate apps that result in so many redundancies doesn't make Android superior. Most people want to have a phone they take out of the box, fire up and work. Saying all that, I like the N20U so much, I am going to stay with it and sell my 11Pro.

I responded to the post. There was no intention from me of making it about intellect. I just give reasons why I don't like it. There are many for me. One being that it's too locked down for me and I can't customize it. Plus, I like the true multitasking and hardware offered on this side. Guys were looking at me operate my phone today as if it were doing magic or something. It's things that they can't do.

I've had my Samsung Galaxy S10 for about eleven months now, and I have not noticed any lag, stuttering, or hiccups - save for the random occasional glitch that occurs with all phones. :) And even those instances are few and far between.

I, too was hesitant before purchasing my S10 (my first ever Samsung phone), but the experience has been amazing! It's been a phenomenal device.

Let us know what you decide! :)

I came from the S10+ to the Note 20u. Great device and ran without a glitch. My Mom is using it now and loves it.

I am a long time smart phone user I believe the second blackberry that was released then all the rest they released I still own a key 2. I also am fully invested in IOS from phone to desktop. For years Android was ok just to many glitches and freeze ups and lag for me. I would say the note 8 was the first phone that showed some great potential. Then the 10+ came out and wow what a great device thought it couldn't get better than the note 20 was released into my hands and now I'm my opinion it's beats out any apple device and now I can sell my 11 and just have one device platform.

I have been on this phone all day for two weeks and not once has it let me down by now my 11 would of frozen in a app 50 times. Apple still makes a nice device but Android has become king in my opinion.

The new samsung tablets work as well as their phones do and I highly recommend buying one.
I won't purchase a new ipad but a new samsung when my ipad takes a sh.t......

I just can't imagine what Apple is going to release that could compete (in my mind) with the Note 20 Ultra and Fold 2. I'm very satisfied with what Samsung has done this year but perhaps I'm just easy to please.

If some of the articles I've read about iphone battery life taking a step back and not being the battery giants the Max phone has been. If they go back to above average battery life of old than that will hurt. That's one thing that makes dumping my 11 Pro Max difficult to do, it still beats my Note 20 Ultra by a decent amount.

I did read some articles on the batteries being of a lesser quality for the iPong 12 to reduce cost but I doubt that will happen for the top version/s

The entire line was mentioned in the articles I've read. Won't know until they are released for sure.

I use to buy the S model and Note back with 8&9 in part to try using DeX. The S20 just plugged in to laptop, installed software, runs smooth. Maybe 865 w/ 12GB helps.

I think a lot has to do with how Samsung and the carrier layer have been separated, plus moving closer to 64-bit only support.

I still like having an iphone handy. Face ID shines. But 14 is a letdown yet nice to see more control over permission settings. Why Apple has stayed with 3-4GB RAM is criminal.

May not see 12 Pro Max until late. Then inevitable that 4 months and 9 update patches to bake it in new phones. That's S21 territory! and iPhone 11 is mid-2019 design.

Never been either/or, just like having Mac's along with Surface devices. I have felt let down by Samsung tablets in the past 9 years.

They don't really have to I suppose. Buying Apple is popular, especially with a lot of the younger crowd. It's reminds me of how some only buy Nike shoes, it's trendy. I've never been that type. I've always chose personally based on what it gives me.

Because it does less work. Lol.

I suppose it doesn't need that much ram since it's so vanilla. No true multitasking on the iPhone. No multi windows etc.
