iphone video and gmail on evo...

someone sent me a short video taken with their iPhone and when I open my gmail the evo won't let me download the video but when I forwarding to my yahoo I can then long press the attachment, download it and watch it via rock player. Is there a reason why this want possible in the native gmail app?

Use the gmail web interface on the phone, for some reason the gmail app will not let you download attachments. I ran into this while trying to send myself a .wmv file. The gmail app would not let me download it, but going to gmail.com from my phone worked perfectly.
