Is activating mcafee required to get 100% optimisation on the S9/S9+?

I have the unlocked S9+ and I have the recommendation to turn on antivirus to hit 100%.

I also had this recommendation on my unlocked S7 Edge and my unlocked S8+ and my T-Mobile Note 8 doesn't have it I did not have the recommendation on my T-Mobile S7 Edge.

Yes. Well, so far........I got 10 days on the MacAfee thing and have seen no ads, or any other weird results including no additional battery drain, so in conclusion.....if we are to be anal about getting those 10 points which I sort of bought into, it was worth it. No real big deal at this time.

 Same with wireless Networks in Canada. I did have the -Kaspersky mobile app-
on my Samsung Gs7: Every time the maintenance optimized only to 90%

The Samsung message is just "To optimize 100% - Enable the antivirus app
or something like that" I thought was its own Phone antimalware

so I remove Kaspersky from my phone..Did the maintenance and the
same message..Decided to Tap on [Turn on] to Enable its antivirus

surprise Me that was McAfee the antivirus that Samsung offers to get its
latest phones to 100% Optimization. I had on the past McAfee and won't
install it again on my devices..I stay at 90% or switch to iPhone

I installed Bitdefender Mobile Security and I disabled the default McAfee on my Samsung Galaxy J7 2017 with android 7.0. I saved 500 MB of my RAM. As you see in the bottom right corner, the McAfee is now disabled. :)

Settings > Applications > Show system apps > scroll down to "Device Security" (the blue icon with shield) > Storage > Empty storage and cache > restart phone. and hopla, the McAfee is disabled.
