Is any ICS device updatable to JB?

Hi,

If a device is updatable to ICS, does it make it updatable to Jelly Bean by default? I was waiting for the Thrive ICS update (which was delayed...) and I was wondering it was worth the wait. I liked ICS but honestly I see lot more improvements on Jelly Bean. Any thoughts? Any rumor which devices will get (eventually) JB?

Thanks

The only device right now is the GNex. I flashed two of them yesterday and so far it's pretty sweet. As for what phones may get it, that's really anyone's guess at this point. I'd love to see the Bionic get it, but since ICS has been delayed so many times, I'm hesitant to think it will happen. Then again it's a year old phone. Except for the GNex, I'd say any phone over 12 months old probably won't get JB.

I thought there was something about them trying to update any phone that wasn't more than 18 months old?

All I know is screw non-nexus devices from now on. No bloatware+Timely updates+Cheap (for a non-contract phone at aleast).

Welcome to Android Central :)

In theory any phone that has ICS should get JB, but if you're waiting on an OTA, it'll be a long time. I would just root that baby and flash a custom ROM.
