Is anyone else NOT having problems with their capacitive buttons?

Personally, mine haven't given me any trouble at all. There's been maybe one or two times I've had to hit it twice, but nowhere near the problems I've read about on here. Maybe I'm just lucky, but my experience with this device thus far has been top notch!

Same. I was worried about the capacitive buttons when reading earlier, but they work great. I bumped the fade out on them from 6 to 15 secs. Really I have no complaints on the buttons.

Also, my GPS has been very accurate. I was messing with the Latitude app and it was showing me at my exact address. I was also indoors at the time and haven't made any adjustments to the GPS.

Not to hijack this thread or anything but my GPS was very accurate to. I clicked on Google Maps at it found me in seconds. I was inside my house too. I havnt made any adjustments to my GPS either.

workgreat for me... love the hardware buttons though . Funny thing.. I can't stand the touch screen keyboard right now. Swype is great, but there are so many things I can't type on it like my e-mail address or even my simple password for apps (its a word, not even alpha and numeric). I see myself doing everything in landscape now, which is great.

My menu key is flaky. I found that pressing firmly on the spot made the button work better for a little while, but it returns to poor behavior soon after. I suspect it's the adhesive under the panel. I'm going to take it back this afternoon and ask for a replacement.

I have no problem with them at all. They work as they should on my handset.

My biggest problem is with them disappearing on me. As a newb to Android, it's a little frustrating because I don't know where they are. I'm getting the hang of it. They are pretty responsive once I find them though.

It shares the amount of time with the keyboard. So it's settings, sound and display, and then keyboard timeout.

I ended up matching the timeout with the screen timeout (one of the options) as this made the most sense.

I have ZERO issue with the buttons- I use 15 second setting- I don't need those blaring back at me all day long- and regardless if I poked or pressed, I still got it to work fine. Either the review units really were borked or all these video reviewers that had trouble are dead inside and their creepy cold hands can't activate the buttons...which, now that I think about it...may explain a lot.

Can someone tell us where this setting is? Nevermind. It is the keyboard setting.

Capacitative buttons are less responsive than on my Evo, they do require a firm press to acknowledge. Is a little annoying for sure, but not a major issue at this time. However, the screen is more reponsive to touch as compared to my Evo, scrolling is snappier... both phones loaded with same apps (Evo 2.2).

Playing with it last night I made the following observations (as compared to the Evo):

1. GPS is as fast and accurate... EDIT: After additional testing, Evo's GPS seems stronger in acquisition and accuracy.
2. WiFi radio has far better reception using same network.
3. Screen colors are better, have not tested on sunlight yet.
4. Battery life so far seems on par with I get from the Evo, but too early to tell.
5. So far feels as snappy on 2.1 as the Evo does on 2.2 except browser rendering which is faster on the Evo - would be interesting to see how much better it performs with 2.2 and JIT compiler running.
7. As skins go, if I must have one much prefer Sense to Touchwiz. Samsung widgets are quite lacking and find them less useful than HTC's.
