Is bricking still an issue with gb?

My wife is running the latest Thunderbolt gb update. 2.3.4 (2.11.605.5). I heard a while back gingerbread roms were bricking tbolts. Now that the official update is out, is it safe to install a rom now? Are there any roms known to be safe from this? I'd like to put cm7 on it.

All have been safe for months. Cm7 is good to go and stable.

Bricking is usually user error related.

Bricking is usually user error related.

this particular bricking issue was not user related, but that was months ago, any current rom should be okay, at least not beyond the slim possibility of bricking involved in any rom.
