Is google pixel display problem real?

Some people can't be happy unless their screen is capable of searing their retinas at 400 paces. Even though they would never use that level of brightness.

The screen on the Pixel 3 is gorgeous, and it's more than bright enough.

maybe some of the full coverage screen protectors are causing the display dimming, I know my 2xl was hard to see in daylight but this screen on pix3xl is no problem. I love to see video on some of your device that have problem in sunlight just curious.

Seriously though folks, its not that I or other wants to complain, problems with the 3/XL are real and the reviews talking about them are also real and they do a good job by posting those reviews after using the device for themselves.

Here is a good list of all issues if you are keen to know what they are: https://www.androidauthority.com/google-pixel-3-xl-problems-fixes-918751/

I can confirm I see most or all of those issues listed in Android Authority and yes, the display issue is an issue but not to the extent of your phone not being usable.

I'm sorry you've had such bad luck. I haven't seen ANY of those issues. I keep reading "some users" in the list, I can't help but wonder just how common these issues are...

People just love to complain and forums give them a voice they would not otherwise have.

Don't want to be the person that seems to have a problem with my pixel phone.
Coming from a Samsung, I am new to pixel.
Tuesday was 1 week I have owned a pixel phone.
I need more time to get used to the phone.
I like my pixel phone.
And me being 68, I will have some small handicaps that younger people won't have.
I have operated by phones since the Panasonic phone with a shoulder strap.

Anyone 68 and up is exception))
Joking aside if you know Samsung phones it shouldn't be a problem adjusting to a pixel .

Even that linked Android authority article has a disclaimer

Note: Not every Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL will have these problems. In fact, it is more than likely that your phones won’t have any issues at all.

I'm not complaining, but with me being a cancer patient, on chemo pills.
And in a research program.
I am a little handicapped just so so people don't take me too serious.

I will make some mistakes. Please bear with me.

I do think as new of a company as Google is.
They are going to have some growing pains.

Thanks for all the help I have received on this forum.

Here is a side-by-side comparison of the 3XL and the iPhone XS Max out in the sunlight with both of them at 100%. It’s not as bright. Arguably no phone has truly good visibility in the sun, but it isn’t “great” by any stretch of the imagination. Also, normal lighting brightness isn’t great either. There is a big difference when compared to the G7, Note 9, or iPhone XS/Max. The NITS just aren't there. However, it's not "bad". It would just be nice if it was brighter.

Isn't that part of the reason for forums? We're here to talk and share our experiences, and discuss things with other people who have the same phones and interests. Also, I think this is a very important topic. I've been getting a lot of questions about the brightness and seeing concerns.

My Bag,,
Carry On.

I appreciate your video, I will do comparison also but it's not going be sunny today or tomorrow by me

I wouldn't mind if it were brighter, but so far it has been bright enough for me.

Today is the first sunny day I think I've had since I got my Pixel. It's been raining and dreary here every. single. day. I looked out my window at work and saw how bright it was so I took the opportunity to do the comparison.

I think that's generally the consensus. I would like it brighter, but it's not worth returning or saying it's "bad".

Man today was a sunny day here too.
Been raining for about a month, except for a few hours one day.
Sure was nice to see the sun.
Like you I went outside to check out my new pixel.
