AC Question

i mistakely deleted a whole folder consisting of about 200-300 photos. There is no backup and i am going crazy. Does anyone know how to retrieve it back?
Please help

1) To recover deleted files, the phone has to be rooted. You can't recover deleted files on an unrooted phone.

2) The free version of DiskDigger will recover pictures.

3) Writing anything to storage (which includes rooting and installing DiskDigger) can overwrite some of the files you're trying to recover, so don't be disappointed if you get the top half of a few pictures, with garbage on the bottom half.

4) You will be backing everything up from now on, right?

It is somewhat possible but you have to dig deep in your phone.. copy all the stuff.. now you can start examining each & every file based on their extensions & you will end up with few unknow files that you can rename & see ..

Shaikalthafhussain, the photos and videos never were in your new phone so they can't be "restored" in it. That's why we make backups and store them on a PC and/or in a cloud account. You can copy from those to your phone. and if you had picture and video backup enabled in your old phone, they'll restore from that backup to your new phone.

But if they were never backed up, there's nothing to "restore".

If you are an android user then you can recover your lost images in the google drive if the "automatic backup" option is enabled. Check your whats app folder, you can get your image there if you had sent it before to anyone. Also go through your social media profiles like Facebook, Instagram where you might have uploaded the photos.
