Is it really quicker with lollipop?

Carrier upgraded to lollipop last week via ota update on Rogers network. I have since completed cache wipe and factory reset. But it still doesn't feel as snappy as kit Kat. I'm seeing more animations with lollipop and maybe that is why it seems slower to me... More importantly I dislike the increased battery drainage. I know many people reporting that battery life had improved with lollipop but I'm noticing my phone discharges a lot quicker than on kit Kat.

At this point I miss Kit Kat...I await the sense 7 implementation as I hope it will be further optimised for HTC one m8.

It will eventually get better. KitKat wasn't optimised in the beginning but after some time it became the OS we loved. So yeah, have patience and you'll be rewarded.
