Is it safe to clean the home button?

I'm not sure on which day this past weekend my greasy little fingers got the home button dirty, but it definitely feels less tactical. It's more of a how it feels issue than a performance issues because it still performs as perfect as ever in every way, but it just feels "weird". With my old BB and my note 3 I'd clean them with a cotton swab and maybe a touch of alcohol and they both survived, I'm just not sure the note 5's home button can handle it. What do you guys think?

The print reader is contained under a glass cover so as long as you don't soak it completely a ear swab with a little bit of Alcohol on it won't effect it the slightest unless you have gunk build up on the sides of the button that could get pushed down with Alcohol. Think of an Xbox controller with a sticky button.

Alright. I'll give it a try.

For any cleaner, I do not apply directly to the device. I apply to a microfiber cleaning cloth and then use the cloth to clean the device including the home key.
