Is it still worth getting (mid March 2016)

I'm really tempted to jump in and get the nexus 6p now. But I'm trying to wait and see if the price drops when they announce the next nexus device.

I would say the only reason not to get this phone is because the Moto X and new Nexus phones are being released in a few months, probably in August and October if they stay in line with their release dates from last year. I mention the Moto X specifically since most people interested in the Nexus are into stock or near stock android phones.

As far as companies copying off of others, of course that is going to happen. Apple does it, Google does it, Samsung does it....everyone does it. In fact, many times this is a good thing.

Exactly, manufacturers copying each other benefits everyone. If everyone developed completely independently all phones would be light years behind where they are now.

I still love my 6P. It's a beautiful piece of hardware. I change my case on it all the time since o can't decided on if I want to show the aluminum back or if I want a case with color highlights. I switch between those cases daily.

Speed and battery life are still stellar to me, even after five months of use. That hasn't happened for me before and I've used phones from Motorola, Samsung, and Apple.

Both the Moto X Pure and the 6P have 5.7" screen sizes.

yeah but isn't the Moto Pure X huge when it comes to thickness? I thought I heard more of this comparison between the Nexus 6 that Moto made when compared to the 6p regardless of same screen size its like twice the thickness. Correct me if I am wrong....

I just left my iPhone 6s for the 6p. I'm waiting for the backlash from blue text friends.

I had both for awhile, but never compare the thickness between the two. Currently, I have a LG V10, a Moto X Pure, and waiting on my Nexus 6P to arrive. The V10 is definitely thicker than the Moto X, but neither are uncomfortably thick.

It's absolutely still worth getting, super fast, great screen, great camera, excellent build quality, fluid, no bloat and timely updates. Oh and my N6P is just as fast as day 1 if not faster!

I love my N6P after a month! Best phone that I have ever bought. The pictures it takes are very nice too with no tweaking.

Wow. I have been debating between the two phones. I like the fact that the Moto X Pure isn't so big. What makes the 6p the better phone for you?

I considered the Moto X Pure, particularly since I have a Moto X (2013) that I loved. Two of the big reasons I went with the 6P is: 1) a lack of fingerprint reader. The fingerprint reader makes the phone much quicker and easier to use. 2) A lack of trust in Lenovo, particularly with their updates to Motorola phones. When Lenovo decided not to upgrade some versions of the Moto X (2014) to Marshmallow -- despite the phone only being a year old, it raised a serious red flag that Lenovo would not provide updates as Motorola did while they were part of Google. It also doesn't help that Lenovo is killing some of the Motorola features I liked, such as the Moto Connect Chrome extension.

A years ago I had the Galaxy S5 it was lagging I didn't like it I was going to get the Nexus 6 then I saw the new Galaxy S6 and there review was good so I decide to go with the S6. Another stupid mistake it still lagging .This month I got fed-up of the lagging I went to get Nexus 6P what a difference I really like the Nexus run really well

Took my s7 back not better than the 6p on anything

I've got a gold 6P and picked up the S7 Edge at launch, I have to say I miss the smoothness of the 6P. Touch Wiz has been laggy in comparison. Also, the Home button on my S7 Edge doesn't always register presses, so it drives me a bit nuts compared to the onscreen home buttom. Screen on the 6P seems more responsive. I've yet to decide if the S7 Edge is going on Swappa or if I will keep it. The LG G5 has me interested as well, I just wish there were some reviews.

How about gaming? Some people say that the N6P sucks for high end gaming compared to something like the S7. The most intense game that I play on my 6p is Leo's fortune, and that runs well.
