Is Jellybean on your Sprint Galaxy S3 yet?

Battery drain is horrible.Restored to stock NO APPS still battery drain i can watch the % drop.I hate this update.Took that long and they can't get it right.Going back to ICS. At least i can have a battery life.If were going to be beta testers for Sprint/samsug/google then why take so long to release it.

Sorry to hear that. Luckily, I am not having the same problem and I updated this morning.

Can anyone confirm that car dock works with this update?

Battery life does seem to have gotten worse. All the new features and buttery smoothness are great though.

Forgive my ignorance, but isn't a manual update the same as rooting? If not, can someone help me by explaining the difference? Thank you.

No. Nothing at all like rooting. You are just downloading the same file that Sprint is going to send you and manually putting it on your external sdcard and telling your phone to install it.

I manually pushed mine via zip

I installed LJ7 (stock + rooted, via Odin) yesterday. It froze twice while I was setting it up. Then it froze again later when I was just using it. By "froze", I mean just that. The UI just stops responding. I can pull down the notification window after it freezes, but then it stays stuck on that screen. Turning the screen off then back on again gives me the same screen (i.e. no lock screen). None of the buttons work (Home, back, menu, long-press Home). Even holding the power button doesn't give the menu to shutdown/restart. I wiped it and went back to cm10.

btw, my battery seems worse now, even back on cm10, so I think the updated radio must be drawing more power.

Manually updated. Everything working perfect thus far. Forget waiting for it. Thanx to all that made that happen.

What would happen, then, when the OTA tries to push? Also, once installed, can the file be deleted? Thanks again.

It wont push the update if you manually add it. (based on my experience updating my Epic 4G Touch to ICS manually).

did you unroot/ if so did u receive the update? lol, one more question , what is the benefit of rooting the sg3

I manually updated. Everything working like Butter! Love it, like a new phone!

I downloaded the file earlier today (from thread 2) and when i try to apply the update from SD I get the following error:
E: failed to verify whole-file signature
E: signature verification failed

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...

Are you rooted? Do you have a custom recovery? If so, that's why it failed. You have to install it on stock recovery.
