Is owning a Nexus 6 in 2016 worth sticking with?

I own the Nexus 6 and an Edge Plus - and, in truth, I keep returning to the Nexus. It's still great.

After ~1 year with my Nexus 6 I have no desire for anything else. :D

What more could you want? I don't care about fingerprint scanners. I kind of wish I had been able to get the 64 gig version. That's it, though.

Well, a brighter screen, or at least more candlepower available to counter sunllight and outdor lighting on overcast days. But that's it really.

That isn't a bad call - most of the time, brightness is perfectly fine for me, but once in a while I'll notice it's a little difficult to see in bright, direct sunlight.

Camera and finger print scanner makes 6P a winner over 6. Just my opinion Nexus 6 lovers, don't hate me for that ;)

The 6P is a wiener with no wireless charging! :p.........:D

I have had Nexus 6 and had wireless charger. Now that I'm using type C charger, I don't really miss wireless charging one bit. It's so easy to just plug that darn thing. Even at night when you can't see [language]. It's so easy, a cave man can do it lol.

Depending on what you are using it for it is a great phone. I cannot get enough of mine. I truly feel that the experience with my Nexus is better than the experience with the iPhone 6S Plus that I had. And that's saying a lot.

I have a Nexus 6p now but I still love my Nexus 6. It's a fantastic device. My hardware LTE radio wasn't functioning correctly so I decided I'd rather just buy a 6p instead of dealing with a refurbished 6. I love my 6p but I have nothing but good things to say about the 6.

Owning my Nexus 6 makes me wonder how imperative it is to actually upgrade every year. This phone still amazes me.

I agree. First time since June 2009 that I haven't been jonesing for a new phone after ~6 months. I'm extremely satisfied with my Nexus 6! :D

I'll second that, but, for me at least, a good chunk of that satisfaction has to do with the Android N preview. I really only turn on my MM N6 (which I left at MM for fear of the N preview failing or bricking the phone) when security updates are announced. Beyond that, I never use it. On the other hand, I've become increasingly dependent on my N preview N6. I use it more extensively--and enjoy using it more--than any other phone I've ever had.

I'll be sticking with my N6 through a couple more years....unless it breaks, but mine relatively new, gotten at the $300 price. If they keep making phones functional worse(No Qi, USB-C) I'll have no reason to upgrade. I like the camera and it has no lags...so is more then fast enough...I don't play games...generally it's a daily GPS, media streamer, news reader, calendar, email , machine. So it's more then enough.

I haven't been this satisfied with a device since the Nexus S. This smartphone is perfect for what I need it for. I'm just not sure what would lure me away at this time. There really haven't been too many new advancements in the smartphone space that have excited me enough to change.

I may look at the next Nexus's this Autumn, after nearly 2 years this thing still flies, the only upgrades I'm really interested in are a finger print scanner and bigger battery.
