I've switched back to Textra. Not enough people have the rcs to justify losing the customizable features.

Good choice! Textra is great. Way better than stock.

It is for me and my gf. I'm on TMO and shes on Metro and I can see when she is typing and read my texts as well as nice and clear videos. Thats about all I've noticed so far.

Just realized it's working on my device but with Samsung messenger. My brother on Verizon is not working though. Anyone on Verizon have it working without any beta?

I am using it on Verizon, but with the beta.

Yea it would be impossible to get my brother on the beta. Just wondering if Verizon will ever send it out as an update for their users. You'd think with all the money they charge their users that they would have them on the bleeding edge.

I thought Google Messages RCS was setup to work without the carriers, therefore removing Verizon, and the other carriers from the equation.

Unlocked S10 here on Verizon. No luck yet.

I'm unlocked on Verizon let me know when it is available. So I should stick with Textra and not download Google Messages or will it eventually work with Verizon Messages and can I download it even though I'm unlocked. I thought about flashing to Verizon firmware before but changed my mind.

Google Messages updated for me a couple days ago and now I have a Connected status in Chat features. No one I know has RCS yet so I haven't had the chance to try it.

Guys make sure you have carrier services installed. If you do clear data in that and messages through settings - apps. Then reopen the messages app. It should walk you through setting it up. And connect you. But you need carrier services installed.

I was talking to my brother over the weekend and he was asking me when I think he will have it on VZ? I just told him I HOPE they're not holding it back thinking of a way to 'ADD' it somehow as an extra charge on their bill. Hope you guys/gals get it without any issue!

Got it on T-Mo, but like others here, I don't know of anyone else using it.

I've used Textra for years, but switched to GMessages a while back as I saw RCS coming and I can connect with my PC - which is much better than using PushBullet. GMessages is "OK", nothing like Textra though!

Had an update to Android Messages this morning and finally got RCS enabled. Did not have to download Google Carrier Services (my phone didn't have it pre-installed). TMO S10+

I'm across the country from my wife but noticed she got an update earlier today. Verizon S10. Chat features are working

Used chat features this morning talking to a friend on a Pixel. Works perfectly. One thing to note is the speed that texts are sent and recieved. They are just abiut instant after hitting send.
