Is Samsung actually nervous about the iPhone 8 and going to launch the S9 early?

So I'm very curious about what apple has come up with for the iPhone 8 but in a lot of ways it's only going to be reaching design parity with the current Galaxy S8. This article talks about how Samsung might launch the S9 early to combat the iPhone 8, but I'm a bit doubtful on that.

I think the iPhone 8 will sell very well, but it's going to be pricey. Also, after 10 years it's just the same row of apps icons on the home screen, so I personally think rushing the S9 would be a mistake.

Nope they are not concerned at all. I think if anything the note 8 is a direct rival especially against the plus series iPhones. So I doubt Samsung will bring the S9 release any closer as march tends to be their release month.

Since they didn't put a dual camera on the S8 because of software issues from what was reported, I have to believe that now they've overcome those issues with the Note 8, that it will now be on the S9.

Apple makes two cell phone models and they are virtually identical. Real modifications to them are practically non-existent. One billion iPhone users are trapped in Apple's ecosystem walking around with identical hardware yet Samsung is "just another cell phone manufacturer." LOL!

Doesn't Samsung make the screens for the iPhones as well. It seems like they are doing just fine since they sell their own phones and make parts for the iPhone.
