Is the camera any better?

Honestly look about the same just positioned different. Case in point the S20 has more of the orange SUV and the Note has more of the black car to the right, but marginally the wide angle distance.

Here is better example

The detail is much better on the Note. The S20 seems blurry.

Anyone else who has both phones can try ultrawide lens. Would be nice to see if its my hands, my phone, or all

I’m not impressed but it’s not garbage. I’d say it’s behind the iPhone 11 series and the Pixel 4 with low light and non static targets, but in bright lit settings it can hold its own.

I'll see if I have time later. I was taking some pics today with the ultra and S10 and took some wide lens shots. If not, I'll post them tomorrow.

But that was pretty much the result with previous gen. This new gen has new large sensors etc. Its pretty disappointing that it's still on the same 3rd place being a brand new device with brand new state of the art camera system

I mean fairly well lit room during the day, daughters hair was an oil painting and so soft it had zero detail. She moved her hand slightly and it was all blurred. My iPhone and Pixel had detail and everything was in focus with the same setting. If it's a software issue that is great, but I'm not keeping it and it's going back. I'll wait to see if they update anything and then think about a Note at that point.

I have a Note 10 and S20 and have done a lot of comparing between the two. I normally see slightly more detail on the S20 between all the cameras, except in low light, where the Note takes brighter images and often has a sharper image. The Note 10 colors seem more saturated than the S20 but the S20 has better contrast.

I don't think the S20 is a major improvement over the Note 10's camera. In most cases I think it takes a better picture than the Note, but not all the time and not by a significant margin. So overall, I'd say it's not really worth upgrading from a 10 series if anyone is doing so just for the camera.

Are we looking at the same pictures? The S20 picture is where you cant even see siding on the house because it's all washed out. It's also more saturated then Note 10

So no one has S10 or N10? I dont know what to do with this phone. There are so many blurry pictures from this it's crazy. Shutter delay is more then Note, ultra-wide angle is all blurry, even the main camera has mixed results.

All pictures look great up until you start to crop and notice that Note is actually better

If you shoot in 108 the crops looks great on the Ultra.

I see in your pics the S20 is definitely softer than the Note but I'm getting slightly sharper images on the S20 outdoors. Maybe you're having a focus issue when you shoot. Indoors the Note is better on detail but also much more saturated color. You can see that in the examples I put in my post:

Are u getting sharper images on Main camera or on the ultra-wide lens? I have issues with ultra-wide

Our impressions are most likely differing due to the different conditions we are testing under. From what I'm seeing - main camera and ultra wide is slightly sharper on S20. Telephoto is much sharper on the Note 10 but has more noise, whereas S20 has less noise but removes detail as a result. I was surprised how good the Note 10 looked compared to the S20 at 10x zoom. The S20 should destroy the Note in that scenario. Overall, doesn't seem like the S20 is a major improvement over the Note. It might even be fair to say its a step back in some scenarios.

Main camera is sharper and I was just about to keep the phone, tele lens I like too. But then I started to test ultra-wide and for some reason it's a mess.
I just took more pictures with it of random houses, every single time the siding on a house is all washed out with S20, even in bright sunlight.
