Is the LG G2 still a good buy

I've been on the lookout for the best Android device I could get for under $120

This device has a sharp display, a well received camera with OIS and is set to receive Android Marshmallow

But am I missing anything? Is there a better option out there?

Old Flagship> New budget Phone IMHO

Re: Is the LG G2 still a good buy

Coming from a Nokia Lumia 1520 & ICON, camera quality is an important factor for me along with design and display quality.

Other devices I have considered are the Note 3 and Moto X (2nd Gen), but those are a little bit more.... I'm also unsure of the G2 because if I no longer want to keep it, I really wont be able to resell it without taking a loss

For $120, sure it's a good buy. It was a great phone in its day.

Just had to imagine using it again after using the G3, G4 and now the Moto X Pure...

What about the Nexus 6? You can find some good deals and it still a great phone.

Resale would still be okay too comparatively speaking.

What I meant by resale being bad was that if I were to buy it for around $100, I would want to sell it for maybe 10 or so more, but the since the marketplace here seems to only consist of the latest and greatest $500 and up android devices, I'm not sure if my LG G2 would catch any attention from anyone wanting to buy...

I am commonly over on Windows Central and have sold many devices there and seen many different types of stuff get sold there, so when I dipped my toe into the android central ocean I thought the marketplace would be a plethora of different devices. New, old, high class and low class.

Also I would love to go with a Nexus 6, but I haven't seen any priced any lower than $220 and I am just looking to spend around $100 to try out Android.... and the LG G2 seems right now to be the best fit

I don't think you'll find anything better than the G2 for under $120. My 2 year old G2 is still used as a backup and media player. Still runs well and battery life is very good.

Back up and media and the occasional WiFi call.

If that's the price you've set for yourself the G2 is a great buy.

LG got a lot of things right on that phone. They should have upgraded the camara and software and called it the G4 compact instead of the current G4c and G4 beat.

Good call that would have been. I had the M7 when I bought my daughter the G2 and I was so envious lol. The reason I bought the G3

So you'd recommend the G2 over the G4 Beat?
