This year's batch of watches will probably include some hardware additions which some may find valuable (NFC, GPS, thinner designs).
The 2nd gen 360 will be no more outdated than any of its competitors, and it will receive AW 2.0. The Huawei Watch, for example, sports a speaker, which is hardly a killer feature, and it's certainly not required for AW 2.0. That's really the only pertinent difference between it and the new Moto. Will it, or the Urbane, or Tag Heuer, or Fossil be outdated? Absolutely not; and neither will the new 360.
All that being said, the Moto hasn't enjoyed the fire sales the Huawei Watch has, and if you're going to drop $300+ on a smartwatch at this point, I'd just wait for the Fall and the new releases. Or wait for another sale on the Huawei, which has dropped it below $200. I still prefer the new Moto to my Huawei, but it's a fine watch.
