Is there a way to get into my HTC M8 phone after enccrypting without a factory reset?

I have the phone on quick start also which hasn't helped me as I cannot even do a factory reset. arrggghhh!! So secure! - which is fantastic - but I really need whats in the phone and I haven't backed anything up . I have only had ph for 2 months....It let me back in once which was odd then I got to my screen lock and it wouldn't let me in again. has this happened to anyone? Pls help!!
