Is there an option for PIN unlock to complete without having to press enter?

So, idk if this is a moto x question or a general android one since this runs pretty close to stock.

But I was wondering where the option is to have the phone unlock automatically when you complete entering the pin. As is, you have to also press the enter key.

I have had this set up on other near stock phones (most recently the OnePlus 1)

is that no longer an option?

I went to pattern unlock. But, if remember correctly, it unlocked immediately after I entered the password.

That option is not in regular Android. I've seen it on CM though.

it's a CM thing to auto unlock when the pin is entered.

there is an exposed module that will allow for this though (i think gravity box does it, but i don't remember)

Unfortunately that's a built in CM option.

It's a silly thing but it's the only reason I don't use a pin and use pattern instead.
