Anyway to access the RTN menu on the M9

Hi,

I'm in the process of organising a replacement M9 after my vibrate motor stopped working.

Reading this article here...

How to Check if Your Android Phone is Refurbished or Factory-New

It seems was once possible to access the RTN menu to determine if the phone is new or refurbished. The article is a few years old and it doesn't seem to work on my old M7 or M9.

So does anyone know of another (current) method to check the refurbished status of the M9 (and M7?)?

Thanks a lot for any help.

Re: Anyway to access the RTN menu on the M9

Worked on my M9 (U.S. Sprint version stock). Rather than the screen shown in the article, I scrolled down for Reconditioned Status.

Sent from Tapatalk on either my HTC One M9 or Tab4 10.1, it kinda depends

Thanks for the reply David. Did you enter *#*#786#*#*?

My phone appears to accept the code (the code disappears from the dialer once I've complete entering it), but I am not presented with the menu.

Doesn't work on my unlocked M9. Didn't try the way to do it using a launcher because I don't use launchers.
